high spirits  A Wee Bit of Scotland!

Edradour is a unique, single Highland malt whisky, to be enjoyed in recognition of those small, significant moments that make up the ebb and flow of life. While not new to the shelves at Sun Singer, Edradour fills such a particular niche in the Scotch world that it deserves renewed recognition, especially with a selection of barrel finishes being produced.Edradour is produced in Scotland's smallest distillery - and is hand made today as it was over 150 years ago by just three men who are devoted to the time-honored methods of whisky making. Indeed equipment used at the distillery has remained unchanged since the day the distillery opened and is only just capable of producing commercial quantities. Only 12 casks of whisky are produced a week, making Edradour single malt a rare pleasure for a fortunate few.

Edradour 'Straight-from-the-Cask'

1997 Sassicaia Finish

A cask strength bottling of Edradour single malt matured in ex-Sassicaia casks. Sassicaia is a world-reknowned Italian wine made by the Incisa della Rocchetta family. This whisky spent the last 19 months of its maturation in a Sassicaia hogshead and is limited to just 464 bottles.

Edradour 'Straight-from-the-Cask' 1996 Grand Arome Rum Finish

This was distilled on the 30th January 1996 and aged in hogsheads before recasking into a rum butt (a cask that held rum, not the result of too many pies and too little exercise) on the 27th July 2006. It was bottled on the 1st May 2008 at cask strength.

Edradour 12 year Doug MacLeans Caledonian Selection

A special bottling of Edradour 12yo. Songwriter Dougie Maclean has selected this single Oloroso cask from 1997 as part of the Homecoming celebrations and named it after his most famous song, Caledonia. This is the first in what will be an ongoing series from Edradour.

in the cooler  Telegraph Brewing!

Telegraph Brewing Co., located in historic Santa Barbara, handcrafts unique American ales that embrace the heritage of California's early brewing pioneers. Each of Telegraph's brews is carefully crafted in small batches in traditional copper-clad brewery. We respectfully employ brewing techniques proven over the centuries while eschewing modern shortcuts that might make our lives easier but inevitably lead to less distinctive beers. However, just like you, Telegraph Brewing Co. isn't afraid of trying something new. That's something you'll discover on taking your first sip of their beer. They are proud to be a small part of California's rich brewing heritage and we hope that with each pint you can taste the perfect blend of the past and the future.

RHINOCERUS (Alcohol by volume: 10.0%; O.G.: 23° P / 1.092)

The rhinoceros may not be the king of the jungle, but he commands respect nonetheless. Powerful and distinctive, Telegraph Rhinoceros pays homage to one of the world's most majestic and endangered creatures. Brewed with a hefty dose of rye malt and balanced by a ridiculous amount of hops, our "rye wine" is truly a unique beast. Be careful... this rhino may seem mellow at first, but is known to charge unexpectedly!

Limited availability.

WHITE ALE (Alcohol by volume: 4.5%; O.G.: 11° P / 1.044)

A classic, unfiltered Belgian-style white ale brewed with coriander, orange peel, and locally grown chamomile flowers. It is called "white ale" because of the pale, cloudy color. A light aroma of orange and a zesty mouthfeel ensure that Telegraph White Ale is the perfect accompaniment to long summer days and fresh, flavorful farmer's market cuisine.

Two Roses
for Easter

It's Easter time and time once again to celebrate the holiday and the season.

Here's two suggestions from Sun Singer's collection ready to compliment your Easter meals.

Do you have questions about what to serve with your Easter dinner? Drop by anytime this week and let's talk it over!

Bon appétit!

Elk Cove 2010

Pinot Noir Rose

Willamette Valley,

Oregon

Fragrant with white flowers and showing freshness with aromas of watermelon and sweet, red strawberry fruit! Enjoy this crisp, light, simply refreshing wine all by itself on a bright sunny day or pair it with succulent shellfish or roast chicken.

Saintsbury 2010

Vin Gris of Pinot Noir

Carneros, California

Making a delicious Vin Gris is not as easy as it may first appear. Above all, there is the "no place to run, no place to hide" factor. While a sweet rosé has, well, sweetness to hide defects of texture and structure, a dry wine like Vincent Vin Gris must show impeccable balance. This is a very fresh, light
style rosé yet with satisfying juicy, fruit flavors on the mid-palate.

best use

Boyd & Blair
Potato Vodka

Luscious, semisweet, chewy, and smooth; midpalate adds cocoa bean, maple, and honey. Aftertaste is graceful, solid, and simply delicious.

BRAVO!

~ Paul Pacult's

Spirit Journal

This is a small batch vodka made in Pennsylvania from locally grown potatoes by two guys using a copper still. The result is a softer, creamier style of vodka that is more mild on the palate. The quality of the spirit is obvious upon the first sip - this is vodka made by people who really care about quality and precision.
