Don't let the cool deter you! Pull on your sweater or zip up your jacket and come by to taste a few fine wines to warm up for Fall.

Sun Singer offers complimentary tastings every Saturday afternoon between 12noon - 4:00pm. We invite you to join us each and every Saturday afternoon as we explore the many pleasures of the palate!

It is that time of year again! The HalloWine spiced apple wine from Illinois River Winery in Utica is back in stock. With the cooler evenings enjoy this wine - warmed up slightly - while on your deck or next to a firepit.

halloween,
HALLOWINE!

Located in Utica, Illinois the Illinois River Winery was founded in 1998 with the establishment of Starved Rock Vineyards by Gregg Kane.

The original block-buster fall season wine. Customers purchase the first bottle for the package, and keep coming back for the delicious mulled apple wine inside.  This wine
made of 100% Honey Crisp apples spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg is most popular in fall when served warm...a dangerous substitute for apple cider!

WINE FEATURE
Fess Parker 'Ashley's' Chardonnay 2007
Santa Rita Hills, California

The 2007 Chardonnay Ashley's Vineyard exhibits that distinct earthiness that seems to come from selected terroirs in the Santa Rita Hills and Santa Maria Valley. Crisp, elegant aromas of white peaches, apricots, quince, and white currants are followed by hints of flowers and honeysuckle. Medium to full-bodied with good acidity as well as beautiful balance and freshness.

                            2 ounce  $4.75     5 ounce  $9.75     bottle  $37
JOIN THE PACK:
LAUGHING DOG BREWERY
As the rhythms of  Fall approach, what better way to get in tune with the  season than with a selection of great ales that echo satisfaction in every sip.

CBS: Extra Special Bitter Ale
A British style ESB with an LDB twist. It is crisp, but malty and at the same time somewhat playful, it is a great beer to have while out sniffing around, or if you are stuck at home on a short leash for maybe sniffing in the wrong places.

DOGZILLA BLACK IPA

A Big Bold Hoppy IPA that finishes with a dark twist. True to its IPA roots Dogzilla has a massive hop presence that is Piney and Citrusy. A malty backbone, along with the dark malt gives it a bit of a roasty finish. Brewed with Simcoe and Cascade Hops, Pale Malt, Munich, and Black Barley.

ALPHA DOG
IMPERIAL IPA

JA True Hop Bomb Brewed plenty of Columbus and Mt Hood Hops for a Piney hop character Premium Pale, Honey and Munich Malt make this beer a little less malty but packing plenty of hop punch

BEAST IN THE BELLY:
The Kraken:
Myth or Reality?

The Kraken is imported black rum from the Caribbean and blended with over 11 secret spices. With its sea creature label and black-as-coffee liquid within, it makes a striking impression on the bar and in the glass. The bottle is designed with dual grab handles, like something Captain Jack Sparrow would sling over his shoulder in a drunken haze. The idea is kitschy: A drink as strong and dark as kraken (giant squid) ink, powerful enough to take him down. And, yeah, at 94 proof and laden with flavor, perhaps it is.

The Kraken -- the rum, that is -- cuts quite a profile in consumption, a truly monstrous hit of chocolate and molasses, cut with Christmas spices -- cinnamon and allspice, cloves and maybe even some ginger. Vanilla is big on the finish. Overall the effect is quite impressive, and any spiced rum fan will get a big kick out of The Kraken.

BRING A MONKEY TO DINNER:
Wine Monkey

Next time you're heading to a gala soiree or a neighborhood potluck slip a Wine Monkey onto your bottle of red or white (or even chimpagne) and you're covered! Wine Monkey is made from all-American red-heeled socks. Buy two and you can wear them anywhere!
