Special Feature: Pinot Noir
CAPIAUX Pinot Noir 'Freestone Hill' 2006 Russian River Valley, California Good bright dark red. Highly aromatic nose combines raspberry, wet stone, Asian spices and smoked meat; this, too, reminded me of a Chambolle, but on the Morey side of the appellation. Big, rich, dense and sweet, with a pliant, silky, seamless texture and a lovely light touch. Finishes with firm but fine tannins and lingering spice. 93 points ~Stephen Tanzer 2 ounce $6.25 5

memorable among Italy's
white wines. 2 ounce$4.00 5 ounce $8.00
PRETTY in PINK Ken Forrester Rose '08, Stellenbosch, South Africa Overwhelms the nose with a magnitude of strawberry, rose petal and cherry aromas that follow through on the palate, lingering to a crisp and refreshingly delicate finish. 2 ounce $2.00 5

Merlot extra depth, nuance and complexity without interfering with the fruity
aromatic personality we like so much. The supporting cast makes the star shine.

A Vodka Purely Fit for Kings Krol Vodka
Exceptionally pure, luxuriously smooth and clearly
superior, Kröl Vodka has arrived on U.S. shores. From the Polish word for "king,"
Kröl is truly a regal addition to any bar. The brand recently made its debut
at the Sundance Film Festival, where it was sipped in specialty
cocktails by festivalgoers including Terrence Howard, Jessica Biel, and
Wilmer Valderrama.
Kröl
is made in Poland - the birthplace of vodka - from 100% pure Polish rye
grain grown to the exacting standards of the Kröl family, whose family
recipe has remained a well-guarded secret over many generations. The purest vodka on the market
demands that the fields of sweet, late harvest rye remain untreated and
as pristine as the pure Polish mountain spring water with which they are
distilled.
Combining tradition and expertise with
today's best distillation methods, Kröl is distilled four times to
eliminate all impurities and to capture nuances of flavor unique to the
spirit. Kröl is then
filtered six times until it is sheer, smooth perfection on the palate.
A favorite of the Polish aristocracy since
the early 1820's, Kröl Vodka halted production during World War II. Recently, the family resumed its
tradition of producing this vodka of unparalleled taste, texture, and
above all, purity (it contains absolutely no additives or
preservatives.) Kröl is instantly recognizable in its
elegant frosted glass bottle featuring a silhouette of "the king"
himself in its window. With
accents of midnight blue and platinum leaf scrolling, the bottle is a
work of art worthy of its contents.

At the Deli: King's Island Australia
Smoked Cheddar
The origin of cheddar
comes from 'cheddaring', a cheese making method that originated in the
village of Cheddar in Somerset, England during the 12th Century.
Cheddar cheese making was introduced to Australia by the early
settlers. Today, it is the most popular cheese in the country. King Island Dairy Stokes Point Smoked Cheddar is naturally smoked with Tasmanian
hardwood. Matured for nine months, the golden rind created during
smoking acts as a natural preservative. Stokes Point is the most southern tip of the island and the closest point to north western Tasmania.

Two Summer Lagers READY TO DRINK NOW
Two Brothers Brewing Dog Days
| |
Dortmunder Style Lager
Dog Days is Two Brothers warm weather beer and the only
lager they produce. This golden lager is a German style Dortmunder with a delicate caramel malt character and light body. Dog Days has a noticeable noble hop character creating a crisp, clean finish. Boulevard Brewing PILSNER Boulevard pays homage to the legacy of past Kansas City breweries with a
classic American lager; 100% malt, real hop character, unpasteurized. It's the taste of tradition.
Crisp, slightly malty aroma and a pale, golden hue. Light body, even
balance and a mild hop bitterness make Pilsner a very refreshing,
quaffable beer.
