 April  22: Administrative Professional's Day
Join us early for lunch!

In Brief

Mom's Weekend was a blast!  It was the first time this Spring that we could consistently keep the patio open for an entire day.  Moms , Sons and Daughters were all well represnted and with only a brief lull betweeen 4:00 - 6:30pm, while everyone napped, Sun Singer stayed busy all day.

This upcoming weekend looks like it could be a repeat performance with lots of activities planned around town and at least three days of great patio weather if it doesn't get too hot to be outside!

Tasting: Goin' South II

We like to refer to grenache as the pinot noir of the foothills. A properly made grenache has a lot of the same characteristics as pinot noir - the fruitiness you typically find in a pinot and a little of its earthiness.

Wine 101: An Introduction
Sunday, May 3rd
4:00 - 6:00pm
Our Price: $20/person

Do you read Wine for Dummies late at night off in a dark corner? Do you want to try Merlot, but you're afraid to ask? If so, this seminar is for you! Join us at Sun Singer as we de-mystify the world of wine. Wine 101 will introduce you to the everyday pleasures of wine.

We'll be covering basic wine varieties and their characteristics, along with how to taste and talk about wine. We'll cover some of the basic wine terminology and flavor components of wine. We'll also talk about 'when wine goes bad.' After this introduction you'll feel more comfortable with the 'language' of wine, ordering wine in a restaurant and how to explain what you want from a wine when choosing one in the store. With any luck you'll be on the road to a lifetime of enjoyment in a world of wine!

At Cono Sur they like doing things the natural way. That's why in July 2007 they became the first winery in the world to obtain CarbonNeutral® delivery status. This means that the CO2 emissions from the shipping of their products have been measured and balanced to net zero through high quality Greenhouse Gas Emissions reduction projects. Through the CarbonNeutral Company they support mainly renewable energy programs, particularly a wind energy project.
