As
we're writing this week's newsletter there's one thing that's a constant about Sun Singer - there's almost always someone laughing. As you scan
the tables around the room, they're filled with the smiling faces of
friends enjoying themselves. I think that means alot to all of us who
work here and it's contagious because we're smiling too!
WiFi
Have we told you that Sun Singer offers now offers WiFi for our customers! No need to drink alone at the computer when you can eat and drink in the Cafe while you browse the web or catch up with daily email. It oesn't get much better so join us soon. Just ask your server for the access code.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
How many of you saw our very own Brian Bowman on the WCIA Morning Show last Wednesday? You can catch the few moments here. The Subject was Port in advance of our upcoming Port Symposium, Sunday February 8 from 4:00 - 6:00pm. We were very happy with Brian's presentation and felt that it was a great introduction to the subject. Now we'll ask you to join us for the full course including the opportunity to taste ports from the oldest producer in Portugal. And with our newly extended Sunday hours, you'll have time for the seminar and dinner afterward in the Cafe.
We're not going to joke that winter is well on it's way - with snow falling at the moment, but if you're starting to feel a bit of cabin fever our suggestion would be to come right over to the Cafe for a treat and a laugh! Join us for the upcoming Port Symposium or for our introductory Wine 101 class February 10th.

Wines with bubbles are associated, for many people, primarily with festivities, celebrations and the elite. At Sun Singer we want to show that bubbles can be enjoyed anytime - an intimate celebration, a festive party, or a casual time with good friends - every time. face it, there just aren't enough hours in a day and Sun Singer is doing something about it! We decided to add a few more. Beginning Sunday, January 18th we wanted to make certain that there are enough hours in our Sunday schedule to
enjoy more of the good times at Sun Singer. Now
we'll be open earlier for lunch, or brunch if you like, plus you'll
have plenty of time for a leisurely dinner - a pleasant way to end
the week or to start a new one. Add a few hours to your weekend as we all
measure the days looking forward to Spring.

Everyone is due a little relief these days and to this end we invite you to join us Monday -
Saturday after 8:00pm through the end of March and save the $7 fee on any of the 1200+ bottles from our retail selection you
choose to drink in the Cafe with the purchase of an appetizer, sandwich or dessert. Sun Singer has grape expectations for 2009 and we wanted a way to say thanks to all of you who have spent many memorable hours

OWL CREEK VINEYARD
Cobden, Illinois
Owl Creek and Illinois were honored in last week's inauguration by the selection of
Owl Creek's
2004 Reserve &
2007 ChardonOwl.
The Reserve is a big, warm, balanced dry red made from Chambourcin and Norton aged in 3-5 year old barrels for two years. ChardonOwl is a barrel-fermented dry Chardonel that features grapefruit and lemon with a light oak character.
