Sun Singer News
New Year's Eve at Sun Singer
Sun Singer is all about New Year's Eve and we have a party planned for you! Starting at 5:00pm and running through 2:00am New Year's morning. No cover charge and just a whole lot of fun.
Starting at 5:00pm, we'll be putting on the Ritz with decorations, special menu selections and of course, champagne corks popping. We'll
be promoting our new Bubbly Bar (featured on Sundays beginning January
4th) this evening with a variety of sparklers and champagnes to
arouse your taste buds and heighten the sense of celebration. As in New Year's past, we welcome you to start your evening out right with a specialty appetizer and sparkling 'package' or a lovely dinner for two or more prepared by Chef Sherry and her staff. All of this is the Sun Singer you've grown to love.
At 9:00pm we're going to add a twist - something new that we haven't tried before - we'll be clearing the floor on the west side of the store for dancing through the wee hours of the morning. No fancy bands - there just isn't the room, but we'll have a variety of music that you can move your feet to until well after midnight if you have the stamina. We'll also be featuring prize raffles on the half hour after 9:00pm right up to the midnight hour and you do want to be present to win!
New Year's Eve at Sun Singer - come for a bite or stay the whole night. We'll be looking forward to your help in bringing '09 in with a bang!
The Happiest of New Years to Everyone,
Jackie, Mark & the Sun Singer Staff

Holiday Spirit Defined!
A replacement for the soon-to-be discontinued 10 Year Old. The
distiller's say this version is 'richer, fuller' and the notes
certainly sound like it has an extra creaminess over the 10.
Very aromatic and flowery overall, like breathing in a country garden.
Noticeable vanilla, cut flowers and beneath these, a clean, toasty
note. Becomes increasingly sweet and creamy, with a lightly aromatic
edge and fresh citrus, which all brings to mind lemon cheesecake. Water
makes it still more creamy and scented.
A sweet, soft start, like crème anglaise, soon becoming flowery again.
A really smooth delivery, especially after adding a drop of water. The
mid-palate is crisp and then the flavour settles into a tightly focused
bundle of butter-icing, lemon cheesecake and freesias.

Holiday Brews

Gather some
friends, light the fire and chill the beer. Holiday beers have arrived at
Sun Singer.
Brewing a unique beer for Christmas is a tradition that dates back to
medieval times, when most European brewers were monks who saved their finest
ingredients for a special brew to honor the birth of Christ. Anchor Brewing Co.
revived this tradition in the United States and now there are hundreds of
interesting holiday beers available.
