Happy Holidays!

"I drink, therefore I am.
I eat, therefore I am more."
- W.R. Tish, Wine Writer

Just one week left before Christmas! Has the spirit of the season laid ahold of you yet?  With smiles on faces abounding, we can only assume that holiday lists have been checked more than twice and that a sense of peace and satisfaction is settling over the land.

So what about those fine details? A bar well stocked with all your favorite liquors for holiday entertaining. Wine to accompany that wonderful holiday dinner including a special selection of liqueur, dessert or port wine for after dinner conversation. How about a few small gifts to have handy just in case and maybe just a bit more to fill out those stockings over the fireplace. And what about a few munchies both savory and sweet to provide the generous and welcoming touches we all delight in this time of year.

We're here at Sun Singer to help you with all these fine details.  Whether it's a festive gift basket for your neighbor or some gift cards for your favorite teachers who deserve an ounce of holiday cheer, Sun Singer has a solution quicker than you can say 'Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer'.

We look forward to seeing you and taking the opportunity to share all the best that the season has to offer.

Happy Holidays!

Next Week!  December 27, 2008: Things To Come!
The Holidays are Here!
Do You Know Where Your Friends Are?

We do!  You're going to find them day and night in our Cafe & Wine Bar enjoying the very best that the holidays have to offer. Conversation is never better than over a glass of wine or an expertly made cocktail. This winter you can warm yourself with one of our new Hot Cider or Hot Cocoa drinks. And when hunger strikes you can share one of our savory small plate appetizers and make a meal of  a hearty gourmet salad or sandwich. We'd suggest giving the new Cuban or the Chicken Pesto sandwiches a try - both made with breads from Champaign's Pekara Bakery.

When it's time for a stretch, take a walk around to feast your eyes on the bountiful and glistening shelves personally attended by the many Elves of Sun Singer. It's not to late to stock your own shelves for the holidays or pick a few last minute holiday treats and surprises.

Join us this holiday as often as you can. You'll always run into someone you know at Sun Singer!

Stocking Stuffers!
Week III

Some of these stuffers may need a good size sock, but we couldn't resist showing them off.  Come and see us for a workshop full of treats for the Holidays.

POPS Champagne Splits
When Pommery POP Champagne was introduced in 1999, it was only available in a small single-serving size. Connoisseurs were taken aback by the break with tradition, and especially the sight of people quaffing the high-class drink directly from the 187ml. Sun Singer also offers additional names in split and half bottle sizes including Moet & Chandon, Gruet and Laurent-Perrier.

RSVP Mojito Muddler
Mash fresh citrus, seasonings, and ice to release and meld the fullest flavors for classic cocktails! 18/10 stainless steel body with Santoprene ends to protect the container. Recipes included!

Lolita Christmas Martini Glasses

Jorge Ordonez Malaga 2005 '2' Dessert Wine

With a heady nose of white flowers, apricot, honey, and marzipan, and a luscious texture, this wine will amaze you! Forget eating dessert, drink this instead! The venerable British wine magazine, Decanter, pinned this as one of the Top 10 Wines you shouldn't miss.

Vacuvin Wine Saver
The one and only, original Vacu-Vin, used in more than 10 million homes worldwide, is the easiest, most affordable way to preserve opened wines. HINE
V.S.O.P. Cognac

Rare VSOP is a Fine Champagne cognac, which means a blend of Grande and Petite Champagne cognacs, with at least 50% coming from the Grande Champagne district. This, a blend of more than 25 cognacs, the youngest of which has aged over 4 years in our cellars, is considered to be the "classic" HINE.

Holiday Brews

Gather some friends, light the fire and chill the beer. Holiday beers have arrived at Sun Singer.

Brewing a unique beer for Christmas is a tradition that dates back to medieval times, when most European brewers were monks who saved their finest ingredients for a special brew to honor the birth of Christ. Anchor Brewing Co. revived this tradition in the United States and now there are hundreds of interesting holiday beers available.
