Dear ,

The feasting of Mardi Gras today will shortly be followed by the fasting season of Lent. Where are you being called to conversion in your own life?  Lent is about connecting physical activities to help foster spiritual attentiveness.

Education for Justice has numerous resources to support you on your journey. May we each find the particular tools we need to allow the Lenten practices of prayer, fasting and almsgiving move us to deeper conversion and greater solidarity.

Please see the list at the left for new resources just created to support your work in educating for justice.

Peace,
Sr. Katherine Feely, SND

Work: The Key to the Social Question
Work as key Participation and Human Dignity Job creation is a key agenda item for the current administration in 2010.  This is a moral task as well as an economic necessity.  From a theological perspective, authentic human flourishing can only be realized when all members of the human family are able to participate, through effort and engagement, in the process of the ongoing creation of the world.  This four-page resource summarizes recent statements on the right to work and its implications for today's economic realities.
