Dear Friends,
My family and I are relishing the greenness of summer, the abundant
fields, the glorious lakes, and the warm sun. Oh, how we love the warm sun!
The
season beckons us to take time to play.
The glory of
creation beckons us to take time to pray - to be still, and know the love of our God. Wishing you blessed times of leisure throughout the year! Affectionately,

Isabella R. Moyer, MLC

Friday Magnificat Online
The World Council of the Marianist Family encourages the entire
Marianist Family to pray the Magnificat on Fridays as a sign of our commitment
to justice in our world. In 2008 the "Friday Magnificat" is dedicated
to the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and in particular to living and
praying these Goals through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching.
As such, "Friday Magnificat" uses the theological reflection
tool of "see, judge, and act" as prescribed by Caritas
Internationalis. (Taken from "Friday Magnificat")
Dan Jordan, a lay Marianist and editor for NACMS, continues to gift the international Marianist Family with this wonderful monthly resource for prayer, reflection and education. Each issue is formatted in Spanish, French and English, thanks to translators Ana Blzquez Ubach, Bro. Andr Vernes, SM, Mary Harvan Gorgette, and Richard Thibault,
The Friday Magnificat is now available online at www.clm-mlc.org on the home page (Who Are We?) for each language.
If you would like to receive the Friday Magnificat by email, please contact Dan at mlnnacom@yahoo.com.

Support Kenya 2009

The next
International Meeting of Marianist Lay Communities will be held in Nairobi,
Kenya in 2009. Approximately 50
delegates from 29 countries will be invited to attend.
Because of rising
fuel costs, travel to the meeting will be expensive. Also, over half of our delegates reside in
developing nations .
We are setting up a
Scholarship Fund for Delegates to
help with travel and meeting costs. Please consider donating to this fund.
Make checks
to: Marianist
Lay Network and in the annotation line write "International Meeting
Fund" and mail to: Marianist Center 1341 N. Delaware Avenue, # 406 Philadelphia,
PA 19125 USA

Are
you a frequent traveller and would like to donate airmiles for
delegate travel? Please contact NACMS intern, Ben Dougherty at bdougherty63141@yahoo.com.
Thank
you for your generosity, we will keep you up to date concerning the progress of
the fund.
