Free Zumba!?  Yes, Free Zumba!
Zumba
Join the party - free!  Zumba instructor Shayla Lee is offering a free Zumba class on Monday, March 8th from 6-7pm at the Des Moines Field House/1000 S. 220th Street.  One of the fastest growing fitness crazes - and fastest paced workouts - you'll ever see, the Brazilian Dance inspired workout is a smash hit.  Click here for more information. 

Classes will ongoing Monday nights, punch cards (10 class value price) and drop in rates will be available.

Instructors Wanted
Instructor You might be a trained photographer, a master gardener, a very good portrait artist...we want you!  Des Moines Parks, Recreation and Senior Services is looking for instructors to teach classes and workshops in our community.  We offer to ages pre-school through senior adult.  YOU teach the class, WE market it, promote it, handle the registration and pay you!!  If you have a talent, hobby, expertise, or skill to share and would like to earn extra money, please call 206-870-6584 or email Sue Padden.
Spring Soccer to Kick Off
Youth Soccer Spring is coming, and its time to sign up for the world's most popular sport - soccer!  Our spring soccer league is a great introduction for 4-9 year olds to 'futbol'.  2010 is a World Cup year, and with soccer mania exploding onto the Seattle sports scene, there's never been a better time for your son or daughter to get their "kicks on the pitch". 
 
Des Moines Parks and Recreation's Spring Soccer for boys and girls includes the following divisions: U-5, U-7, U-9.  Cost is $65/Des Moines resident or $70/non-resident. League runs March 15 - May 22 .  Registration is ongoing through March 15th.

Spring Brunch
Winter Brunch Start your spring out right! Enjoy a scrumptious brunch featuring mouthwatering maple and cinnamon French Toast Soufflé served by enthusiastic volunteers! Proceeds help support Des Moines Activity Center programs and services for older adults that enhance and maintain well-being, promote feeling fit all served with a generous portion of fun!
