  Summer 2009
GALLERY ARTISTS' EXHIBITION
Summer time brings the opportunity for us to mix it up here at Kirchman Gallery!  We are featuring the best of the best...works by most of the artists that we represent.  This is your opportunity to see work by many of our most popular and interesting artists, all at the same time and place. Also we have added some new talent to our stable in the last few months. Come and see for yourself, Saturday, June 27th from 4-7.

Artists ... New to Kirchman Galleries

Danville Chadbourne
Danville will be our featured artist in the Fall when we install a large show of his work at our Courthouse Square location.  This will be the innauguration of our creekside Sculpture Garden so expect a big party on October 24th!  Mark your calendars, this one will be special.  We currently have eight wonderful pieces by this very accomplished artist, at our Hwy 290 location. When you see these, you will know you won't want to miss the October show!

Sam's graceful paintings are inspired by the world of dance and the spirit of wine.  He has had great success as one of the artists chosen for the Barrels Across Texas art event which was part of the Hill Country Food and Wine Festival.  His Dancers in the Wine series adorn the labels of fine wines by  Flat Creek Estatates. Sam will attend the reception on June 27th. Come meet him and talk to him about his work.

Jimmy D McDonald
jimmy dGrapes, vineyards, wine anyone?  Jimmy's magical vineyard scenes would be a great addition to anyone's collection, but especially someone who relishes the fruit of the vine.  These wonderful paintings and prints celebrate the fact that we ARE  the Hwy 290 wine corridor of the Texas Hill Country!

Lindsay Richards
lindsay rLindsay's delicate, sensitive, minimally  linear renderings of rather ordinary scenes turn them into something extraordinary. We predict a  bright future in the art world for this young Texas artist.

Ronnie's work was really popular in Taos when he lived there and his work found it's way into many East and West Coast collections from there.  Now we are now lucky to have him creating his work right here in the Hill Country. He makes incredible Assemblage Art which we can hardly keep in the gallery long enough to enjoy.  You will be amazed at his wonderfully evocative combinations of unusual objects.  His reverent treatment seems to bestow dignity  on whatever he touches.

New Works ... by Gallery Artists

Margie Crisp
painted bunting
Margie has been hard at work on her new book, but has taken time out to make this fabulous series of small bird paintings on panels.  For all of you who have been waiting for new Margie pieces....hurry. The last time we had original paintings by Margie we sold them out in no time.

Debbie Odum Hutchinson
debbie hDebbie has just had a very successful show in Santa Fe and now we have received her very latest works here in Johnson City.  These are playful, exuberant, colorful and evocative floral studies done with watercolor on clayboard. The medium seems to bring out the best of Debbies extensive talent.
