Aiming Higher & Removing Barriers
The Women's Economic Security Campaign (WESC)uses the power and resources of women's funds across the U.S. to increase opportunity for low-income women and their families. We strive to elevate the voices of women's funds to ensure that the problems faced by women living in poverty and their families are at the center of efforts to fix America's economy and create opportunity for all U.S residents.
Their latest major report, "Aiming Higher: Removing Barriers to Education, Training and Jobs for Low-Income Women", is the second in a series focusing on job creation, training and supports for low-income women.

Supporting Women
The Woman's Discovery Center in Jonesboro benefits the community by helping women connect through service, enrichment, and support. The center's two-fold purpose is to provide a place for a woman to be nurtured and to nurture other women. This is done by helping women find those activities and relationships she needs to bring balance to her life and by providing women-focused service opportunities.
For more information about meetings, programming and volunteer opportunities, please visit thewomansdiscoverycenter.org, stop by the "coffeehouse" style center at 1413A Market Place Drive or call (870) 933-9939. |

Please remember that we want to involve you in the important work of the Women's Foundation wherever and whenever we can. Drop by and visit us, send an email, visit our website... let us hear from you! As we all know, a group of women with a single purpose can achieve ANYTHING! Together, we can ensure a better future for all the girls & women of Arkansas.
Sincerely,
 Lynnette Watts
