CELEBRATES ITS 30TH BIRTHDAY BY HELPING OUR FAMILIES IN CRISIS


WHAT: Whole Foods Market is turning 30. To celebrate its birthday, the Boca Raton store will be throwing a western-theme extravaganza and generously donating ALL proceeds to US!

 

WHEN: Friday, September 17 from 6-8pm


WHERE: The Boca Store at 1400 Glades Road


DETAILS: The bash is set to be a boot stompin' good time. For a $10 donation to Deliver the Dream, you can saddle your way through the café to taste the delectable southwestern style food presented by each department in honor of the first Whole Foods Market store in Austin, Texas. You will also be treated to live music by the country band, the 18 Wheelers, and entertainment by a trick roper and gun slinger!

Christian Suarez has volunteered with Deliver the Dream since 2006!  And he has volunteered for a retreat or special event every year since then.  On retreats, you can always find him hanging out with the kids.  He is great at building relationships with the families and is very sensitive to their needs.  Christian is always willing to go that extra mile and that is why he is the volunteer spotlight for September.  Congratulations Christian!

She is our Outreach Coordinator and will be assisting the Program Department with volunteers and all retreats. Brittany will also be helping the Special Events Department on events beginning with our up-coming DENIM & DIAMONDS GALA!

A very special thank you to all of our volunteers, vendors and donors that attended our Carnival Cruise Lines Luncheon on Saturday, August 14!

Once on board the Carnival Freedom ship, guests got to admire the ship's grandiose decor and amenities on the way to the cocktail reception that included fun Carnival and DTD door prize giveaways.


For lunch, everyone was treated to a delicious 3-course meal and wine in the ship's main Dining Room.


In true DTD style, there were two great surprises during the luncheon. Our generous partner Bluegreen Corporation donated a weekend stay at one of their Florida resorts to our raffle drawing. And once the luncheon was coming to a close, the ship's waiters gave all the attendees a dance show to remember!
