Message from your President

November Monthly Meeting

Puget Sound Skill Center did a great job at hosting our information meeting.  Many turned out to enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres and desserts prepared by the students while learning all about ACF.  We had representatives answering questions about apprenticeship, competitions, certification, membership, chef and child, associate membership, volunteering, American Academy of Chefs (AAC).  We thank all that were involved and the donations that were made to the scholarship fund at Puget Sound Skills Center.  If you have any  questions that weren't answered or missed the meeting but would like to learn more please feel free to contact Fiona Ronyai and she will direct  your question to the appropriate person. We would like everyone to get the most out of their ACF membership.

RED CROSS
Thank you to those that have already submitted their names. It is never to
to help.
The Red Cross is asking for cooks and chefs to submit their name and phone number to an on-call list
to assist in the event of a disaster evacuation if the Green River floods this winter. They are setting up
emergency center plans and will need chefs and cooks to help prepare meals. You can offer whatever
time you can afford. They will call you if a situation occurs to check your availability. This is a great way
for us to give back to our community and help our fellow citizens.
To have your name added to the list contact Brenna Hesch at brenna.hesch@seattleredcross.org or call

COUNTERFEIT MONEY SEMINAR

Bellevue Police is hosting the Eastside Security Forum at Bellevue City Hall (450 110th Ave NE, Bellevue) in the Council Chambers on Dec 16th 10am-noon. They would like to extend this open invitation to the restaurant industry sector.  We will have a presentation from the US Secret Service on detection of counterfeit currency. Due to the multiple currency styles currently in circulation and the frequency of counterfeiting I think this topic would be on point for your front line staff. Please extend this invitation out to your partners, franchise training officers and restaurant managers. I will ensure that there will be training handouts for you give out to your restaurant staff.  Please RSVP to Det. Michael Chiu at mchiu@bellevuewa.gov or  Lt. Charlie Gorman at cgorman@redmond.gov
