Namaste!

Hello Heat.

When it gets this hot, there's nowhere to go but inside. Hmmm. I see a metaphor here. What do you do when it's "hot" outside- and I don't just mean 105 degrees in the shade? When the friction of life, work or relationships has you literally or figuratively sweating? Where do you go when you can't get away from the heat? When you've tried everything?

The teachings of yoga tell us that our essential nature is calm and clear, steady and cool. And the only place to find that is inside. Because sometimes it's just too hot out there and there is nowhere to go but in.

Find a cool, shady spot. Close your eyes and go inside.

Peace,
Jill

yoga explorations
new, regular sunday morning class
Would you like to brush up on your yoga fundamentals or explore poses in a hatha (non-flowing) style? Maybe you have some questions you'd like to ask, but can't really do that in the middle of a class. Well, now you can!

Our new, regular Sunday class, Yoga Explorations with Suzanne, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, gives you plenty of time to ask questions, refine the alignment, and sink in a little deeper in your body and your understanding.

Whether you have completed the blue lotus Foundations series, are new to yoga, or want to take some time to explore poses outside of a flow class, this class is for you. A slower paced practice, Yoga Explorations will help develop your understanding of the poses that are an integral part of most yoga classes. And with its focus on breath work (pranayama) and attention to alignment, Yoga Explorations can also help to increase awareness and serenity in your yoga practice.
immersion & teacher training
registration open through july 31
There are still a few spaces available in the next session of 9 months of transformation, the blue lotus yoga immersion and training intensive. Now in its fifth year, the program begins in September, with sessions held one weekend a month for nine months.

Truly an immersion and transformational experience, the blue lotus program is unlike any yoga intensive program in the Southeast. Contact us, and we'll be happy to answer any questions you have, and we'll connect you with past graduates so you can hear first-hand their experience of the program. Successful completion of the program earns students registered yoga teacher 200-hour certification (RYT200).

Registration remains open until July 31.
go away to come home
fall and winter retreats
Sometimes the best way to come home to yourself is to get away from the daily grind. Get away with us to create space so you can see and hear more clearly the messages for your journey in this life. We have two absolutely wonderful options for you to retreat to serenity and peace this autumn and winter.

Refill your cup with a Yoga Retreat in the North Carolina Mountains, September 28-30, 2012. Fall is a busy time, as we get back into a groove after the lazy heat of summer. The holidays are right around the corner, and while the pace of life quickens on the outside, there is an inner calling to slow down and turn inward. We invite you to join Jill and Kathleen and take a weekend to do just that. Get away from it all for a bit of peace and quiet, and a weekend of yoga, meditation, hiking, laughter, and community in our beautiful North Carolina mountains.

Come with us to an Eco-Adventure Yoga Retreat in Belize, February 23 to March 2, 2013, including four nights in pristine jungle and three nights on a private island. Carrington and Jill will lead this retreat of amazing adventures and open-air yoga with stunning views. It's the perfect place to cultivate a quiet mind and a healthy body. Combine introspection with activity, relaxation with adventure . . . and perhaps a little inspiration.
