I missed the last two INFOCOMM shows, after having attended every one of them for more than 30 years. It was fantastic reconnecting with so many of my old friends and business colleagues. We all know this is a tough industry to leave for good, and it is great to know that despite major changes in technology, and the ups and downs of the economy, there is still an important place for those who were instrumental in making it the industry it has become.
I've enjoyed a strong track record of introducing highly innovative products at INFOCOMM, by way of the great manufacturers that I have represented. Products like the first Fresnel rear projection screen, the first network based AV control system, the first touch panel AV remote control device, the first wireless robotic video camera for conferencing, and the first DLP projection cube. Representing such innovative products have made my INFOCOMM shows more fun and exciting.
This time I had something that wasn't present on the show floor. It was the "White Glove Virtual Presence" control system programming service provided by Damiano Global Corporation, featuring its new DGnet Portal for system access and client collaboration. In many meetings, and at a successful customer appreciation luncheon that took place at the Capital Grille on Thursday of the show, my company and I were able to talk about a unique approach to a problematic, yet necessary aspect of AV system integration. DGC has developed a complete solution for providing control system programmers on-demand at a job-site, with no need of consideration for location, room availability, time, and travel. We believe that we have eliminated all of the "pain points" routinely encountered during the process, all while offering an unprecedented set of warranty and service guarantees outlined in the industries first Customer Bill of Rights.
I LOVE WORKING WITH INNOVATORS!
