Greetings!
The benefits of meditation are now widely known. Stress reduction, greater clarity, lowered blood pressure, ideal weight achievement, inspiration, and bliss are just a few of meditation's effects.
Yet even recognizing such wide-ranging and powerful incentives to meditate, most of us encounter all sorts of obstacles if we try actually to do it.
Perhaps you have yet to attempt meditation but are curious about it. Perhaps you have dabbled in it but don't feel like you "get it," or maybe you didn't enjoy what you experienced.
Or maybe you have tasted the delight of meditation and want to meditate more but somehow never seem to get to it as much as you intend. Or perhaps you already have a regular meditation practice that you would like to deepen or enjoy even more.
Whatever your background is or is not when it comes to meditation, I encourage you to join us at the shala for Meditation for the Love of It. There are as many ways to approach meditation as there are people and seasons of life. Come discover your path to more joy, peace, clarity, inspiration, health, and freedom than you have ever yet experienced!
We are going to experience a powerfully uplifting, enriching, joyful journey - all the more so with you joining us in it! Register today:
If you have already registered, I literally cannot wait to start this journey with you! Watch for a separate email with gifts from me to you. Let's get started today!
Vast love and joy!

New Book Exploration Begins Sunday
Meditation For the Love of It
The next book we'll explore together on our path to more and more fully living the lives of our dreams is Meditation For the Love of It: Enjoying Your Own Deepest Experience, by Sally Kempton. This is a beautiful modern meditation manual, including different approaches to meditation, lots of rich inspiration and motivation, troubleshooting, and more.
Everyone is welcome! Whether you are a member or new to the shala, join us for this.
As with all books we go through, this will be an interactive experience. This book is beautiful and worth reading, but my primary interest is that you receive the benefit of the powerful experiences for which it serves as a guide. This is why, each time we gather, we will continue to practice together.
Sometime, we also will revisit The Four Desires. When we do, having gone through Meditation For the Love of It will have brought you to a whole new level of wisdom, insight, intuition, and possibility.
We will be meeting for 5 sessions, with time in between for practicing and integrating the material. Each gathering will be on Sunday afternoons, 1:15 to 2:45: April 15, April 29, May 20, June 3, June 24
Even if you are unable to attend all the dates, I encourage you to participate. I offer support in between sessions, too, and this is priced with the understanding that not everyone will be able to attend every time.

"When I walked into the yoga hall at Yoga Sukha Shala, it felt like walking into a temple hall. There was a powerful vibrancy in the space. And then Kassie began to teach. Her voice is gentle, her manner peaceful and joyful. She gets you to focus on your breath and takes you slowly into poses that you can do. You leave calmed, no matter what is happening in your life. If you are thinking about coming, don't worry about what you think you cannot do, ignore the voice that says you are not flexible. Coming to Sukha Shala, there were other delightful surprises for me - but you will have to come experience those for yourself! I hope you join us."

Meditation
"Meditation... moves your brain in the direction of rest and focus. Thus, learning to still your mind is not only a vital link to inspiration and an abiding sense of peace but also an incomparable method for increasing your capacity to solve real-life issues, increase insight, and help your brain assimilate all the random bits of information that it rarely has time to process. Meditation is an indispensable tool that improves memory, sharpens intellect, increases your ability to respond to stress, and even helps you process negative emotions such as grief, anger, and fear."
Rod Stryker
"Learning to meditate is learning to be. It's learning to be fully alive."
Laurence Freeman
"Although we might feel like we don't have time, the truth is that we cannot afford not to make time. The busier our schedules are, the clearer we need our minds to be."
Kassie Meeks
"Meditation is not just for those who are looking to prosper spiritually - it is for everyone who wants to get the most out of his or her life."
Rod Stryker
"The spirit is so near that you can't see it! But reach for it.... Don't be the rider who gallops all night and never sees the horse that is beneath him."
Rumi
"The process for tuning into dhi [intrinsic awareness; the knowingness that always understands what actions are going to help you thrive and what actions are not] begins with stilling your mind.... The more often you practice meditation, the easier it will become to access that inner silence and the wisdom that issues from it. In time and with practice, the voice of dhi will become stronger and clearer, and to the extent that you respond to it, you will find yourself more and more in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing. As the great teacher and sage Swami Satyananda Saraswati once wrote, 'When you develop true sensitivity the whole world will be an open book to you, revealing on each page new secrets and wonderful knowledge.'"
Rod Stryker
