The International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM) is an international non-profit interdisciplinary organization dedicated to exploring and applying subtle energies as they relate to the experience of consciousness, healing, and human potential. ISSSEEM is in a unique position, acting both as a bridge builder between communities and a leader in the field, offering a community with a widespread appreciation of the energetic component within many disciplines including quantum physics, therapeutic modalities, healing, psychology, consciousness, psi and the understanding of our multidimensional existence.

Whole Foods Market teamed up with pop music icon and environmental activist Sheryl Crow to create a special edition of our signature reusable shopping bag, A Better Bag™. These bags are made from 80 percent post-consumer recycled plastic bottles. In fact each bag represents approximately two or three 20-ounce plastic bottles depending on the size of the bag you choose.

As part of the continued efforts to care for our communities and environment, Whole Foods Market and Sheryl Crow are using this campaign to help raise awareness for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and its Simple Steps program. Whole Foods Market made a donation to the NRDC in support of their initiative and each bag bears the SimpleSteps.org web address encouraging shoppers to learn more about how they can get involved.

Greetings!

Greetings ISSSEEM Community!

Conference09I hope this finds you enjoying your summer. Wherever you are take some special time  and smell the delightful fragrance that blooms all around you.  Bask in the warm sun, sip a glass of cool tea and read that enticing new book you purchased at Conference.

This eSEEM issue is filled with gratefulness. Our 2009 Conference was a great success because of the contribution to all those who attended and participated. My personal observation was that the chi moved beautifully in our new location at The Westin. The spaciousness was energetically expanding and supportive to our gathering. I felt and observed a thread of cohesiveness linking each one of us to the other. We came together in sacred synthesis, joining our hearts and opening our minds. Let's now take some of this and share it with the rest of the world.

For those of you who were unable to attend, recordings of this years' Conference and past conference are available through our website. 2009 recordings will be up within the week.

We are honored to introduce the new ISSSEEM President for 2009/2010, Charles T. Tart, Ph.D.  Charles is internationally known for his more than 50 years of research on the nature of consciousness, altered states of consciousness (ASCs) and parapsychology, and is one of the founders of the field of Transpersonal (spiritual) Psychology. We are so pleased to have you representing us Charles.

A huge thank to James Oschman, Ph.D. for his dedication as President for the past year. Your time, contribution and leadership were a valuable asset to ISSSEEM. Thank you Jim.

We have included information about acceptance of Letters of Intent for our 2010 Conference in this newsletter. Submissions will be accepted on our website very shortly.

Our next issue of eSEEM will highlight photos of the Conference and some feedback from our attendees.

As always we welcome and encourage your submissions to the eSEEM newsletter.

Many Blessings,

Linda

2009-2010 ISSSEEM President

Conference09 Our new President  has a special request to pass on to our readers. A PhD committee member is needed for one of his students at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (ITP), Richard Knowles, whose research on potential brain wave entrainment to the Earth's Schuman resonance has ground to a halt with the unexpected death of one of his committee members.

Please follow this link to our Archives of our last eSEEM for further information or email Richard directly at rknowles@itp.edu
