What do you want to see first up?

We recognise the importance of having a project management system that shows you just what you want to see on your desktop - nothing more and nothing less.
Everyone in your organisation has a different idea of what their priorities are for each day and what they first want to see when they log in.
Being able to customise the content and layout of a desktop to show the sections of the system most used for quick access has to improve the appreciation and acceptance of any system.

Workamajig allows the user to drag 'widgets' from a list over to the desktop as a permanent display until otherwise modified. Anyone with the appropriate security access can select their choice.
An Account Exec may want
 - My Active Projects
 - My Items to Approve
 - Company Calendar

while a Financial Controller prefers -
 - Metrics Monitor
 - Billable Efficiency
 - Cash on Hand

and a Creative -
 - My Tasks
 - My Time Sheets
  
We have also learned that not only the 'Creatives' would prefer to select their own colour options, background images, font size, etc. so Workamajig has made it happen. Your system can look like you!

A 'speedbar' is also provided at the top of the screen for quick access to parts of the system you use frequently, which saves selecting from a drop down menu for any area change.

A 'Recent' button shows the last few areas you were in if you are working on several projects at once.

Quick Time Sheets

Ask six artists or designers from your studio to nominate how they want to allocate their time to a task, and you will probably get six different answers.
Wouldn't it be great to please them all!
Workamajig enables time allocation:
  • straight from a daily or weekly time sheet on a desktop,  which can be customised
  • to be self approved or submitted for approval
  • to allow for comments from the submitter and/or approver
  • to generate reminders if expected timesheets are late
  • using stop watches for one or more projects simultaneously
  • with timesheets pre-filled with allocated tasks as an option
Quick and easy timesheet entry means more accurate allocation, which is surely the object of the exercise.

One of the strengths is a brilliant option for file reviews and approvals. This function can be used to route files or web URLs to the project team members for their feedback.
