Issue: #1 Volume 21 July 2009
Notes from the Prez:

It never ceases to amaze me but when the temp's get up into the 90's it just seems cooler riding then
just about any other method of movement.

And what better weather to enjoy the one and only MARGARITA RIDE with the club this week:  Join Steve in the parking lot of Serrano's Mexican Restaurant (map) this Thursday at 5:45 pm. Take a spin around the Gunbarrel/Niwot area and maybe if it's warm enough Steve will show you his "secret" swimming hole! What better way to finish off a ride then sitting on the back patio of Serrano's and sipping marg's!

Our Sunday Morning Ride is picking up steam and it's great to meet early to beat the heat (7:00 leave 7:30), fuel up on espresso, watch some of the Tour and head out for an early morning ride. This week we'll be heading out to Lyons then up Route 7 to the Peak to Peak Hwy. Turn around at that point and head back or if your up for it continue on down to Ward and come down Left Hand Canyon. Last week we went up to Carter Lake and it was a challenging but quite beautiful ride! We hope to continue this ride through the end of August.

Lots of Centuries in the air this time of year. Check out the new team jersey for the BCC Tour de Cure Team that will be riding in the American Diabetes Association annual charity ride in August. Thanks again to Todd for his tireless support of the cause and for organizing, designing and distributing the jerseys for the team.

The Club's Annual Membership Appreciation Party will be here before you know it! Come on out (and if you ride you get more chances to win cool prizes) and enjoy free food, happy hour prices on drinks and lots of free prizes! Of course it really helps if you actually are a member, so join or renew today! Mark your calendars for August 25, 2009 on the patio at Boulder Beer. Thanks to Jeff and all the great folks at Boulder Beer for hosting the event. Put it on your calendars now!
