Camp includes riding instruction, trail riding, learning about horses, horse care and much more! Plus, it is way too much fun to miss! By all reports everyone has had a good time and learned much about riding and horsemanship.

Plan August & September Outings Now! Now is the time to consider a trip with your neighbors, church group, scouts or any other group of folks you can think of and make plans for your August and September group outings. Remember - we cannot take groups during the month of October, but if you would like to plan a later date, the weather is great through November, the bathhouse is heated, and the showers hot! |
Out and About at Trackrock...
Good Luck and Pot Luck
I've learned in the years I've been here if you are lucky enough to be at Trackrock, then you are lucky enough! But I've also learned luck comes wrapped in all kinds of packages. One example is the Pot Luck enjoyed by campers and staff alike at the pavilion.
At 5:30 every other Wednesday night from May through October (in July, they will be held on July 11th and July 25th) you will hear the old dinner bell - figuratively, not literally - ring as foot traffic, cars, vans, pickups, club cars, mules and four-wheelers arrive outside the office/game room area. Every means of transportation brings another dish to add to the serving tables.
As cloths, aluminum foils and lids are lifted it's clear it's going to be another satisfyingly good night! From Debbie's delicious salads, to Ms. Martha's pineapple casserole, Jack's meatballs to Joan's and John's Charley Bread, you won't find fare like this anywhere else in the world. Why the word LUCK ended up in something to do with a meal is easily understood as you pile your plate high with all the offerings.
Tonight's dinner was anything but disappointing. The choices were many and the results simply delicious. We had the pleasure of sitting with a young family from Leesburg, GA. Vonnie, Tiffanie and 6 year old Cadence McClung camp at Trackrock every year during their summer vacation. With both parents being teachers in the Lee County school system, Cadence enjoys both a fun camping trip and full time parents for three weeks every summer. This is their 6th year here. They were delightful to talk with and during the conversation we found out their 'claim to fame' is being from the same area as this year's American Idol, Phillip Phillips. They know him and his family well and have had them in their classrooms over the years. Thanks for the great company, McClungs!
I'm wishing for everyone reading this to be lucky enough to be at Trackrock on a Pot Luck kind of night!
Till next month...
"It's hard to detect good luck - it looks so much like something you've earned." ~Frank A. Clark , The Country Parson
