"We are open year round."

Well ...  it's official!  Happy Spring!  Flowers are blooming, bees are buzzing, leaves are popping out on trees and kids are already playing in the lake!  It's time to think about camping again.  If you haven't been up in a while, it's time to come up and enjoy the Spring air!

Check out the fresh, new look for our Trackrock Happenings!  We hope you enjoy our newsletter and make plans to come stay with us soon!
Great Camping Weather Expected for April and May!
Spring is a great time to get your camping group, be it a church group, school group,or just some friends together for a good time in the mountains. Come relax and rejuvenate, amongst the beautiful spring blooms. In April and May we have the greatest flexibility to accommodate your group with adjoining sites in an area set aside for you. We have a variety of accommodations and services we can offer including: private hayrides and picnic facilities, use of one of our two pavilions or the chapel area, and group discount on horseback riding. Call or email Debbie to discuss your group's special  needs. Group outings are not just for campers!  We have many openings in cabins for those who prefer a more comfortable lodging!

The weather has been great for camping in March and it will only get better!  Before the summer rush begins we are better able to keep your group together for the best camping experience!
The Fish Are Biting!!

"The fish are biting and the cotton is high."  Well, we don't have any cotton except for our t-shirts, but the fish ARE biting, as the photo shows.

Last week, Jim Gibson of Savannah, GA caught 2 HUGE bass in one day on plastic worms.  The larger fish was 8lbs and 26" long.  The "small" fish was 6lbs!  What a fisherman!  He released both back into the lake.

So, those big ones are still out there and there are plenty more where they came from - in our lake - and we invite you to bring your rod and give it a try.  No license is needed as this is your private fishing hole.

Make Plans to Attend the Highland Games
Have you ever attended a Scottish Festival and Highland Games? Well, if not, you could be in for a big treat! The Blairsville Scottish Festival and Highland Games will be held on Saturday, June 9th and Sunday, June 10th.  To find more info about the Games, check out their website at www.blairsvillescottishfestival.org
Horse Camp Registration is Open!

Spring Break Horse Camp has been a lot of fun this week!

It is just over 2  months until Summer Horse Camps begins.  There  will 8 week long camps which will begin the week of June 11th. Camp will be held each week through the week of August 6th.   See our website at

http://www.trackrock.com/stables-special.html for specific dates and experience requirements. Cost is $425 for each week.

Camp includes riding instruction, trail riding, learning about horses, horse care and much more!  Plus, it is way too much fun to miss!  By all reports everyone had a good time and learned much about riding and horsemanship.

If you have kids or grandkids who want to attend horse camp at Trackrock Stables this Spring or Summer, we hope you will make your arrangements soon as Camp Weeks do fill up quickly.  You can find application materials and information on our website at http://www.trackrock.com/and click on horse camp.  Don't forget that you have to make separate reservations for horse camp, and cabins or campsites.
