I don't think it matters anymore.

Greetings!

         When I asked her if she was still involved in her volunteer work at the soup kitchen, she responded, "I don't think it matters anymore." Those words coming from this normally vivacious 84 year old caught me off guard.

As God's timing would have it I had just finished reading "The Butterfly effect" by Andy Andrews.

          "How can you say such a thing? What you do at that soup kitchen effects everyone who comes in the door. The people you serve love you and your smile and enthusiasm offers them hope and encouragement every day." As we talked I could see her countenance change. She smiled and said, "How did you get so smart young man? (I'm 64 and still relishing the comment) "Timing I said. It's all timing".

Everything we do or say has a rippling effect for good or bad for years and generations to come. Not just on others but on ourselves. We can all think back on a word or action by someone in our lives that encouraged or discouraged us.

   Like the Butterfly effect, that word or action sets in motion an energy that builds momentum and influences decisions and actions in an ever increasing circle for years to come.

Today make a conscious decision to set in motion ripples that will have a positive life changing effect on everyone you meet and everyone they meet. That's a decision you can make that will have, not only immediate but long term effects.
