7pm Brown Students for Israel Meeting (Wilson 103)
Come to BSI's first meeting of the semester! BSI is committed to supporting a strong US-Israel relationship as as promoting honest discourse related to Israel and the Middle East. The organization fundamentally believes in Israel's right to exist as a Jewish and democratic state and seeks forward-thinking solutions that move Israel towards a secure and peaceful future.

Have you ever had Babka? Do you want a Better Babka? Come to the Jewish Cooking Club's kick-off event to bake babka, and watch the Seinfeld episode about a better babka!
8pm J Street U Brown (JSUB) Meeting (Hillel Commons)
Come to the first meeting of the year for JSUB, Brown's chapter of J Street which advocates for a two-state resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and works for peace, security, and human rights for all Israelis and Palestinians.

7pm-8:30 pm Torah on Top with Rabbi Rackover
This week, Torah on Top will be featuring Rabbi Rackover! The topic will be who is a Jew? We'll be eating ice cream as we learn this extremely fascinating and important topic in Judaism. From 7pm-7:45 pm there will be a class called Establishing a Baseline: Who is a Jew in the Bible? in which we will look at Abraham's children as well as subsequent Biblical characters and their percentage. We will also begin to explore the topic of conversation as it appears in biblical sources. From 7:45 pm- 8:30pm there will be a class called Preparing for the High Holidays: Chassidic thought and the Jewish New Year.
