IWCA FORMS ALLIANCE WITH OSHA TO PROMOTE SAFETY

Victor Munson, President of Erlanger Window Cleaning and the 2010 President of IWCA, traveled to Washington, D.C. this past month to be part of a long awaited event.  The International Window Cleaning Association (IWCA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced their alliance to promote safe and healthful working conditions for professionals who work within the window cleaning industry.

"We pursued the alliance with OSHA to promote the importance of on-going safety education in our industry," said Victor Munson.  "With representatives of both organizations working together, we should be able to achieve our goal of increasing safe and healthful working conditions."

WINTER 2011 NEWSLETTER

Greetings!

Greetings!  I am pleased to have this opportunity to update you on all the exciting happenings at Erlanger Window Cleaning (EWC) this past year and to offer you a chance for substantial discounts in 2011.  We continue to service anything from a "House to a Highrise" and  2010 has proven to be an exciting year for us! Let's take a look at some of the highlights:

  • Vic Munson, President of EWC, was named the current President of the International Window Cleaning Association (IWCA). See Article This allowed us to have resources and expertise throughout the country that we could share with our customers. (pics)
  • Denise Munson, primary owner and CEO of EWC, had applied for and been certified as a Female Business Enterprise through the Louisville and Jefferson County Metro Human Relations Commision. FBE CERTIFICATE  Other certifications are in the works!
  • We launched the EWC Building Maintenance and Restoration Services Division! Learn More! This is a new division with expanded services for commercial customers to include remedial sealing and caulking, glass restoration, glass scratch removal, pressure washing, metal/granite polishing and cleaning, stained glass cleaning (pics), high access light bulb replacement/dusting, and more. We are currently offering a substantial discount on any of these services scheduled for completion in the month of February. (See COUPON OFFER below and learn how to save $$$$!)
  • We increased our knowledge and use of Pure Water Technology for buildings up to 4 stories (pics).
  • We expanded our residential services to include house washings (pics), gutter cleaning and pressure washing.
  • This past spring we partnered with the NKY Chamber of Commerce to promote their Small Business Expo Wizard of Oz theme (pics)! 
  • Finally, we teamed with NKU to secure a very capable construction major intern, Andrew Lewis, to work with EWC on job standardization. Andrew is now hired at EWC as a Project Manager. (See article below)
     
As you can see, Erlanger Window Cleaning has much to be proud of! Vic and I continue to strive for excellence in safety, quality and efficiency by providing monthly and tool box trainings with our staff. THE FRIENDLY VOICE AT EWC
House Washing Did you ever wonder who is behind that friendly voice when you call 859-371-4210 to schedule your window cleaning?  Lois Taylor joined Erlanger Window Cleaning as an Office Associate this year.  She grew up in NKY and her vast knowledge and experience makes her a welcomed addition to the EWC family.  
NEW EWC PROJECT MANAGER
 Erlanger Window Cleaning is happy to add Andrew Lewis to our staff as Project Manager.  Andrew joined EWC last Spring as a Construction Management Intern from Northern Kentucky University.  His primary focus was to help develop a job standardization process.  He recently graduated from NKY with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.  Andrew is a hard worker and his knowledge about the construction process has helped with many new window construction cleans that EWC has worked on since his employment.  Although Andrew likes the analytical Andrewside of the business, he is always up for a challenge and enjoys those jobs that require a hands on approach.
