Blood Drive

Come donate as the Ohio Department of Insurance hosts a blood drive with the American Red Cross at the OSU Urban Arts Space. 

To be eligible to participate, individuals must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with parent's consent), meet height and weight requirements, and be in good health.  You may be eligible to donate if you last donated on or before May 4th.

To schedule an appointment, please email uas@osu.edu with the following information: desired time (time slots are every 15 minutes, 11am-4:45pm), phone number, blood type, and date of birth. Positive identification or Red Cross donor card required.

Who Does She Think She Is?
Film Screening

Join the OSU Urban Arts Space for a screening of Who Does She Think She Is? on Thursday, July 1, from 6-8pm.  Focusing on five bold artists that share the common challenge of making careers in various art worlds, the film showcases the struggle these women face trying to answer the demands of artistic fulfillment, marriage, motherhood, and economic survival. The film will be followed by a question/answer session with Janis Wunderlich, an artist featured in the film. Free and open to all.

Rooftop Garden Tour

We offer tours of the Lazarus Building rooftop gardens the first Tuesday of every month. 


Guests will get an inside look at our current exhibitions and learn about the many green aspects of our organization, then complete the tour with a trip up to the beautiful rooftop gardens with the Lazarus Building Manager, Robert Turrin.

The City Center Voting Committee is thrilled to announce its decision for its launching exhibition: Chine-collé. The Columbus-based Chine-collé artist collective produces a vast array of pieces, including abstract paintings and a live performance. Free and open to all. Catered by local businesses, with a live performance by Chine-collé.

Art Explorations
Join the OSU Urban Arts Space for an afternoon of hands-on, family-friendly art making with artist Robert Wright of Lancaster, Ohio. The program is part of Art Explorations, a monthly family program designed to engage youth and families on a different topic each month, inspired by artwork on display at the OSU Urban Arts Space. See the critically acclaimed artwork of Charles A. Csuri, an artist who brilliantly utilizes cutting-edge technology, for the first time in Ohio at the OSU Urban Arts Space.  This is an extensive retrospective exhibition, celebrating the life and work of Charles A. Csuri, Emeritus Professor at the Ohio State University.  This exhibition, curated by Janice M. Glowski, Ph.D., examines and historically contextualizes over 85 of Csuri's computer artworks from 1963 to 2010.

Alan Price: Immersive Environments 2005-2010

Green Woman2Alan Price, Professor in Design and the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD) at The Ohio State University, creates interactive virtual environments using stereoscopic displays, touchscreens, and other alternative forms of interaction and presentation.
This exhibit is a sampling of Price's work over the past five years, including installations ranging from images of the surreal to explorations of how we navigate the border between physical and artificial environments, designing simulations of both the real and the imagination.

Chine colleThe City Center Voting Committee is thrilled to announce its decision for its launching exhibition: Chine-collé. The Columbus-based Chine-collé artist collective, comprised of Ross Caliendo, Todd Pleasants, Alex Ross, and Brian Sharrock, produces a vast array of pieces, including abstract paintings and a live performance. The exhibition presents a selection of innovative creations from these four local rising artists; each bringing unique and inspiring work to the OSU Urban Arts Space, to Columbus, and to the art world as a whole.

City Center at the OSU Urban Arts Space

Call for entries from local emerging artists:

City Center at the OSU Urban Arts Space
is an opportunity for local emerging artists to display their art and launch their careers.  One proposal per month will be given a $500 grant, and use of the corridor space at the entrance of the OSU Urban Arts Space.

By providing an exhibition space and funding, City Center hopes to foster the development of the independent, creative, and innovative community in Columbus, Ohio.
