| Your Chamber News |
November 2009 |
|
Greetings!
I apologize for the extreme delay in getting the Newsletter out to you in a timely fashion. One positive item is you get a sneak preview of what has happened the first week in November.
Even with all that is going on with the economy, we all have much to be thankful for. We hope your month goes well and everyone enjoys their holiday with family, friends and co-workers.
We had another marketing sales warning from a business that was solicited by Skyline Publishing. They claim they are working with the Chamber, Tourism, etc. This is not the case. The only publisher the Chamber is currently working with is Cal Duke Publishing for our Welcome to Camden County Relocation Magazine. Please be aware of what you commit to and check first to see if they are a legitimate company.
Congratulations to Blackjack Asphalt, Inc. the November C hick-fil-A Business of the Month. Sincerely, Chris, Christi & Julie

Oppose H.R. 3126 Consumer Financial Protection Agency (CFPA) Act
We invite you to sign on to the US Chamber's letter opposing H.R. 3126, the so-called Consumer Financial Protection Agency (CFPA) Act. As many of you know, the CFPA would create a new and massive government agency to regulate consumer financial products and related services.
Both the House Financial Services Committee and the House Energy and Commerce Committee have passed this bill and it could be considered on the House floor in the coming weeks. With this bill moving so rapidly, now is the time to get involved and make the voice of business heard.
The following are actions you can take today to Stop The CFPA:
We appreciate your urgent action on this dangerous bill. Please contact the US Chamber at federation@uschamber.com or 888-732-5228 if you have questions. |
