Greetings!

Christmas decorations in the shops and I've already seen a house with a Christmas Tree up! it doesn't seem possible that 2011 is almost coming to an end. It's been a fantastic year for me, I hope for you also.

Any of you with puppies, please be aware that when the tree arrives, they are likely to see it as the best toy in the world with all the dangly bits hanging off. If they do try and help you decorate it, make nothing of it, simply lead your puppy away from the tree without fuss and perhaps give them something they can play with.  Repeat one more time than them!!  I think I will have this situation in my home this year, as Hansi and Dritta have possibly never seen a Christmas Tree before....what fun!!

Thanks for reading.

Regards,
Rachael

Separation Anxiety

Separation Anxiety

This is possibly the most distressing problem to experience for both you and your dog. Dog Separation Anxiety manifests in many ways depending on the personality of your dog. For example, the dog chewing furniture, defecating and/or urinating in the home, the dog barking, howling, whining, and in some cases self harming.

Separation Anxiety is something that I experienced with my first dog Fred, so I can sympathise with anyone going through it.

From a human perspective it is hard not to take it personally when you find your house destroyed on returning home from work or even popping to the shops, but let me assure you, your dog chewing your expensive items is not to punish you, or

your dog messing in the house is not because they couldn't hold it any longer.

It is coping with the stress of losing you.  It is heartbreaking to realise the level of stress your dog goes through each time you leave them.

The chewing action releases a natural endorphin, helping them cope with the pain of losing you.

So how do you solve your dogs separation anxiety?  Relieve your dog of its leadership position so it can elect you leader of the pack, therefore, when they no longer feel responsible for you, you can come and go as you please.

Amichien Bonding will help with this problem and all other non-medical behavioural problems, you can succeed with this communication method in the privacy of your own home.  Amichien Bonding can help with reading body language, teaching your dog good manners, the ability to be able to communicate effectively, becoming your dogs best friend and the general nature of your dog.
