Free, Online Immunization Practice Series 

 

ANA has teamed up with the CDC and others to produced an exciting new series of netconferences tailored specifically to nurses.


Focused around immunization practice, the online training series was planned by nurses and can be taken on your schedule.  Each program includes a pre-taped webcast, following by a live seminar session scheduled at a particular time.  They include:

 

  • Talking with Patients about Vaccines
  • Vaccination of Healthcare Personnel: Educated Decisions, Caring Choices
  • Reducing Vaccine Administration Errors

Interprofessional Collaboration on Oral Health 

 

The Virgina Oral Health Coalition is is seeking nurse input as it moves into the implementation and planning phases of a grant it received to "Improve Health through Provider Collaboration."

 

The Coalition has scheduled a forum to share healthcare expertise and find ways to improve access to oral health prevention services at the Sheraton Park South Hotel in Richmond on April 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Presentations will be given by Russell Maier, MD, a national expert on oral health and medical/dental collaboration, and Deputy Secretary for Health and Human Resources, Keith Hare.
