GRAYLITE® II glass (right) is an almost-black glass that retains the aesthetic appearance of original Graylite glass (left) while providing enhanced solar control performance.

- In a one-inch insulating glass unit with clear glass
- Solar heat-gain coefficient (SHGC) of 0.21, 36 percent greater than the original composition.
- Retains the aesthetic appearance of the original glass, but has slightly lower visible light transmittance (VLT) of 8 percent.

Earth Day: A Glasswerks Products Guide
In light of Earth Day, we are putting the spotlight on Glasswerks products that promote sustainable building and design.
1. Colorwerks
 Colorwerks is the greenest alternative in double-coated colored glass in today's market. 2. Guardian SunGuard Arhcitectural Glass
Glasswerks is a Guardian SunGuard Select Fabricator, specializing in Commercial Windows and capable of producing Heat-Treated, Insulated, and Laminated Glass that match Guardian SunGuard Industry Standards. 
Guardian SunGuard's Low-emissivity (Low-e) coatings
- transmit substantial amounts of daylight while blocking as much solar heat transmission as possible.
- increase daylight, meaning less artificial lighting necessary indoors, thus reducing utility costs year-round
