Lenten Series and Supper: This coming Wednesday (March 30) at 6 pm is the Lenten Supper in Farlander and at 7 pm is Fr. Matt's Lenten Series. This week the topic is "The Gospel of the Blues: Emotional authenticity and its place in liturgical music." Come and join us, all are welcome!

OPEN HOUSE NEXT WEEKEND AT HEAVENLY TREASURES! Are you ready for the best shopping experience you've had in a while? Come over to Heavenly Treasures next Sunday, April 3 after services. Take a look at our gently used items, along with brand new gifts like high-quality French soaps, jewelry, and warm, gorgeous shawls. Take advantage of bargain basement prices, and know that your purchase does real good--90% of our profits are donated to social service and justice causes. We'll be open until 1:00, so stroll over and discover YOUR treasures!

Japan Relief Efforts: Would you like to help with the Japan Relief efforts in a direct way? Consider sending a care package to Theresa Fritz's cousin Elaine and her husband Bill, and their neighbors. Bill is stationed in the Air Force in Misawa, Japan.  They live just outside the base approximately 2 hours from the epicenter of the quake and continue to feel after shocks between 3 and 6. Their area was without power for 4 days and they are concerned power may go out again. They live more than 50 miles from any nuclear plant so they are not being evacuated.

They can use: batteries (any size), unscented candles, battery powered lanterns, blankets, and non-perishable food (as they are unsure when shipments will arrive).

If you would like to mail a care package to Elaine, which she will share with her neighbors and students (she teaches English) you can use a post office flat rate box ($4.95/$10.95/$12.95) and send it to: Elaine Ortiz-Harrison, PSC 76 Box 2266, APO AP 96319-0001. If you want to do more, you can donate $ to the Episcopal Relief & Development Fund.

Numina presents "Fresh Water from an Ancient Well," April 2 at the Green Music Center.  An evening with Sonoma County's  own Allaudin Mathieu and Friends.  Featuring new song settings of ancient verses by Rumi, Mary Oliver and  Hildegard von Bingen, and structured improvisations on a stage filled with drums, gongs, bells, marimba, and piano.

**Please note ** Admission to this event is by advancereservation only, because the Green Center is not yet officially open. Seats are limited and must be reserved no later than Friday April 1 at www.numinacenter.org. Donations are appreciated --- the online reservation system allows you to set any donation amount you like. Please make your reservation by April 1!

The Evening Women's Group will meet on Tuesday, April 12, at 7 pm, at the home of B. J. Yeager. Note: Because the 3rd Tuesday is during Holy Week, we're meeting on the 2nd Tuesday for April only. Next month, we will meet on the 3rd Tuesday as usual. All women are welcome to join us. We are a supportive group providing a place to share our lives and our spiritual journeys with each other, building friendships as we go. If you have any questions, please contact Donna Wiuff at (707) 837-8768.

Attention, all lectors, acolytes, and Eucharistic Ministers: On Saturday, April 16, we will hold a training for all lectors, acolytes, and Eucharistic Ministers. The lectors will gather at 10:00 a.m. for a brief review of procedures and to practice together; then at 10:30 we will begin the training for all acolytes and Eucharistic Ministers. Please come to brush up on your skills before Easter.  Mark your calendars now!

The Scarf Project: Would you be willing to knit or crochet a scarf for a homeless person? Every Sunday several dozen homeless people go back out into the cold after sharing breakfast provided by the Open Table Ministry. I am making scarves to be given to our Sunday morning guests at Christmas-time.  Although I am starting now, next December is coming. Scarves should be practical, about 50 to 55 inches long and 8 to 10 inches wide. Garter stitch (all knit) is fine but I am hoping some of the expert knitters will use their creativity. Keep that in mind when choosing yarn that most of these will be given to men, and that the scarves should be easily washable. Crocheted scarves should of the same size and washability. Please help me in this practical ministry, we will need about 100 scarves. (Yes, it is possible, if many people contribute.) I will be glad to take donations of yarn. So clean out your yarn stashes and unfinished yarn projects and help keep a homeless person warm next winter. Contact me, Debora Leitner (523-1536), for more information.

Volunteers are needed for our rides ministry! For many years, Incarnation has matched volunteer drivers with requests for rides to church or to appointments. Sometimes the rider has physical limitations requiring at least a mini-van and a driver able to assist the person in and out of the vehicle. But not always-smaller cars are fine for other requests. Ideally, we need drivers on the list from all three of our services, but the list has grown a bit short. If you are willing to offer this service even occasionally, please call the Church Office (579-2604) or La Velle Seely (528-2700).

And speaking of La Velle Seely, she has faithfully served for years as our rides coordinator and is now ready to pass her ministry on to another volunteer. This is mainly a phone ministry, matching a request for a ride to someone on the list of drivers. Please consider this opportunity to serve, from your own home! Call the Church Office (579-2604) or Alice Macondray, Pastoral Care Coordinator (539-4403) if you're interested.

8 am Kitchen (Coffee Hour) Help STILL Needed. We need some volunteers to help pour coffee and bring goodies one Sunday per month - we have four Sundays open and need 6 people. Please contact Marilyn Payne (707-545-2597) if interested.

Please heed the NO RIGHT ON RED at the intersection of Humboldt Street and College Avenue. If you are stopped by a policeman, your fine will be $270. (The same as if you ran a red light!) More than one of us has been stopped, don't let it happen to you! And remember: there is no law that says you HAVE to turn right on red. So if in doubt, don't do it! Your safety and the safety of others is always more important than the person honking in back of you!
