Kala Koa Nominated for Innovative Business Award
It was nice to have been recently nominated for the Innovative Business Award for the City of Redondo Beach. It's been hard work putting together the Southern California Slack Key Festival, Aloha Falsetto Festival, and the Los Angeles Flamenco Festival so it's great to know these unique events have really been capturing a lot of attention.

If you are local to the South Bay and you feel moved to do so, please write to Mayor Mike Gin to let him know how much you've been enjoying these events that can only be found here in Redondo Beach. You can reach him here.

Thank you to all who have been attending and enjoying these concerts. I hope to continue to present the kind of quality entertainment you've come to expect over the last few years.

Respectfully yours,

Mitch Chang
Keola Beamer & Raiatea Keola Beamer & Raiatea Helm
New CD!

But they did just that.

The two met in mid-2008. Raiatea was in Honolulu and had met with the talent coordinator for an upcoming production at Ala Moana Beach Park. He suggested that Raiatea should collaborate with his friend, Keola, who was already set to play at the event. Raiatea, however, had never even met Keola Beamer before. "Are you serious? Would he want to work with me?" Raiatea asked. "You mean, I could work with Keola Beamer, the legend?"
