  • RFC wins National Junior Tennis & Learning Award. Award from the United States Tennis Association Eastern recognizes RFC as "exemplary model" after-school program

  • RFC is honored with an Innovation Award from the College Board as an "exemplary initiative for getting low-income students ready, in and through college."

  • RFC data show that 92% of RFC students graduate from high school, 68% enroll in college and 65% are retained in college. Data is verified by the National Student Clearinghouse.

  • A success story--Andre Nichols is pursuing his dream of going to college by attending the University of the District of Columbia, majoring in criminal justice.

  • RFC is serving over 2,800 students in the 2009-2010 school year. 2,460 students are in 10 schools in the DC metro area. 350 students are in 11 schools in the New York and New Jersey area.

  • A success story--Shanima Parker credits RFC for helping her get to Bennett College. Being in the RFC class with everyone working toward college together was very helpful, she said, as she and her fellow RFC classmates "cheered each other on. It was all of us getting into college. We're all trying to make it." And they did!

  • RFC Scholarships are given to 10 RFC seniors. RFC Co-Directors are finalists for the Social Value Leadership Award given by The Washington Post and Greater DC Cares.

  • RFC-Sponsored forum lets student voices be heard on college access. Students note value of college and the stresses of 12th grade.
