How can I be present with people in the way I truly want to be present?  What is it like to be an Empathic Presence? How can I "use Nonviolent Communication" without sounding formulaic?
In this next NVC basics workshop, we will learn and practice 4 non formulaic steps to  Being an Empathic Presence:
Pure Presence: What prevents me from staying present to the other person? Identifying habitual thoughts and emotions that come up inside me and prevent me from Being an Empathic Presence
Connecting, without formula or agenda, to  the other person's experience of what is happening-
Connecting with what is deeply alive in the other person, by guessing their  feelings and needs
Asking them if I have understood what is important to them- making connecting requests.

Dear Friends,
I am just back from a 5 day retreat with Vietnamese Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh. The theme was "Enlightenment- Now or Never".  I am inspired to bring this into Compassionate Communication- Empathy!  Connection!  Now or Never.
When someone really gets what is in my heart, when I really get what is in their heart, in that moment, is there any place else I want to be? As Thich Nhat Hanh said, In that moment of perfect connection, there is no need to run after anything else; there is no other moment.  That is an exquisite taste of enlightenment and it is happening all the time. We can open to it more and more in our daily life.
Our Empathic/Compassionate/Nonviolent Communication workshops, classes and groups are opportunities to enjoy being in a community where together we learn and practice the skills and consciousness that can bring us into connection, intimacy, trust and understanding; Into full engagement with our life right now! Experience how the inner NVC practices of self empathy and self connection support transformation of what blocks you from acting and speaking in the world in alignment with your deepest aspirations.
