Hello Everyone!
Welcome to the NOVEMBER 2008
e-newsletter!
First I'd like to remind you that this Sunday marks the end of Day Light Savings time. That's right!  We get one extra hour of sleep on Saturday night! At 2am on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2ND, THE CLOCK GOES BACK ONE HOUR! "Fall back/Spring ahead"! So that is one thing to be thankful for! Since it is November, I'd like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is actually one of my favorite holidays...no...not just because of the stuffing which is my favorite! Thanksgiving is the one definite day a year that I actually stop to think of all the things I am thankful for! I'd like to remember to stop and be thankful everyday...but some days I think I forget! I'm not looking to turn this into an "Oprah" moment...but just wanted to share some of the things I am thankful for. I AM VERY THANKFUL FOR:
-- my move being over! It went smoothly, all boxes packed & unpacked, and as went well. -- the love & support of my friends! They know who they are and what they do. Without them, I wouldn't be the me I am today. -- the love & support of you! My labor support clients, the people who attend my childbirth classes, the readers of this newsletter, the people who I come into contact with every day who help me help others through the childbirth experience. --without say, my health and the people who help me stay healthy! --the ability to vote! Did you know that women have only had the right to vote since 1918?!? It hasn't even been 100 years yet! TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4TH IS ELECTION DAY! I'm going to go and vote! I am thankful to live in a country where I can vote! Thankful to live in AMERICA and for the Men and Women of the United State's military services who fight for my rights and freedoms each and every day! --ah...and that extra of hour of sleep on Saturday night! --is it wrong to add in the discovery of coffee??? Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts???...just asking??!!! So I wonder why it is so hard to remember these things each day??? What are you thankful for??? Want to share??? Write me and tell me what you are most thankful for. I will share them with you all next month. HAPPY THANKSGIVING! HAPPY VOTING!

Car Safety! Part 2~
 It continues to happen. Parents knowingly or unknowingly leave their children alone in a vehicle! Why? ? ? Never leave a child unattended and if you see a child unattended in a parked vehicle...DIAL 911 !
So...to continue from last month, in a study from 1998-2007, about 361 child died from vehicular hyperthermia---being left in the hot car! 51% of the children were "forgotten" by their own caregiver!

If you have ever forgotten your child or a child in a car, you may like a product I've come across!
The Baby Bee Safe tag is
 easy to use- portable between any caregiver's vehicles
- is affordable to everyone
The large tag is attached to the child's car seat when it is unoccupied. The tag is then clipped to the parent or caregiver's key ring when their child is placed in the car. The tag is so large that when you remove your keys from the ignition, you can't help but notice it when you go to place your keys in your pocket or purse. It serves as a visual and tactile reminder that your child is in the car. Seeing this reminder, you remove your child from their seat and replace the Baby Bee Safe tag on the child's empty car seat.
I know, some of you may be thinking this is a bit crazy...but so is leaving our children in unattended cars. Why not try it??? Please don't ask me what you may have to lose.
