NO SILLY! THAT'S NOT IT! (although I am still single! hehe...)
I am doing a project About Men, From Men, For Men. Men who are about to have a baby, just had a baby, had a baby awhile ago. Maybe you took my childbirth class. Maybe I was your labor support person. Maybe you are just willing to talk! I am looking for some volunteers. This past week, four of you were very kind to allow me to video you talking about your childbirth experiences (THANK YOU GUYS!). I am looking for more!
I am not sure what form this project will eventually take. I am going to keep a list of my male volunteers. Possibly tomorrow or within the next 6 months-1 year, I may contact you either by telephone or in person to interview you. You may be invited to attend a "filming" or a discussion group.
Maybe you have a good suggestion for dads and dads-to-be, or would like to share your experiences or are looking for some helpful hints from other men...PLEASE EMAIL ME! I will keep your name on my volunteer list and you might just hear from me!

Car Safety! Part 1~
 It continues to happen. Parents knowingly or unknowingly leave their children alone in a vehicle! Why? ? ? Never leave a child unattended and if you see a child unattended in a parked vehicle...DIAL 911 !
It may sometimes
seem convenient for parents and other caregivers to leave a child in a
parked vehicle while they run a quick errand in the store, but it can
be a deadly mistake.
In fact, the temperature in a car with its windows rolled up will
increase 19 degrees within the first 10 minutes and 34 degrees within a
half hour.
As the sun heats up the interior of the car, temperatures of 180 to 200 degrees on surfaces inside have been measured. Dark
interiors are hotter.
Physically, children tolerate heat worse than adults and warm up three to five times more quickly.

30% - child playing in unattended vehicle
18% - child intentionally left in vehicle by adult
