Greetings!
Machine Tools Ultra-News focuses on important news regarding the machine tools OptiPro represents. We hope you enjoy reading this newsletter as OptiPro strives to provide you with the most current and exciting information regarding our machine tools. |
 | OptiPro's Building Addition Allows for Expanded Machining Technology Center |
If you attended OptiPro's open house, you noticed that our metalworking equipment was relocated to a more spacious area on our shop floor. We have renamed this area our Machining Technology Center (MTC) and the additional space has helped optimize productivity of our machines and machinists. If you haven't seen the new layout of our facility, please feel free to stop on by and check it out! Currently, the machines that make up our MTC include:
- 5 Yama Seiki machines (3 mills and 2 lathes)
- AccuteX SP-300 wire EDM
- Ares Seiki R560 CNC production center
- Akari HMC HS-450i horizontal machining center
- Spinner U5-620-AI 5 axis machining center
- Spinner VC-750 5 axis machining center
To set up an appointment for a tour of OptiPro's MTC and the rest of our state-of-the-art facility, please contact OptiPro at 585-265-0160 or send emails to pbechtold@optipro.com. |

Marubeni Citizen-Cincom Launches New Products |
 | Citizen L20X |
As seen in Manufacturing News - Among the new machine launches from Marubeni Citizen-Cincom (MCC) are the M432VIII (the fourth generation of the M32) and the L20X (the newest iteration of the L20 series).
The Cincom M432VIII has the added benefit of a third Y-axis on the back tool post and an additional B-axis with rotary tools on the gang tool post. The B-axis is the slant axis in reference to the Y-axis direction. When drilling a slanted hole on a conventional machine, the adjustable angle spindle was used, but now rotary tools incorporating a B-axis can be used to change the angle continuously, allowing the user to handle slanted holes at a number of angles. Contouring with simultaneous 4-axis control is also possible. The back tool post can accommodate holders at three positions (two positions for rotary tool specifications and one for fixed tool specifications) and up to nine tools can be used.
The L20X now incorporates a Y2-axis (8 axis) on the sub-spindle side, enabling a variety of extra tooling on both the front and back side of the part along with more overlapping of machining on the front side of the workpiece. This Swiss turning center features the all-axis, simultaneous Cincom System M7 Control. Its standard eight cutting axes (X1, Y1, Z1, X2, Y2, Z2, C1, C2) and one bar loader axis (A7) are designed to make easy work of tough applications. The editing function, which utilizes multi-line, multi-axes programming, along with superimposed and synchronized control, make setting up the most complex jobs easy. |
 | Flow Waterjet Offers Economical Cutting |
As seen in Modern Machine Shop magazine - Flow International says its Mach 2c is a "value-priced" waterjet designed to be fast and accurate, whether cutting a 3" thick steel plate or multi-stacked gasket material.
The core components - the Paser 4 abrasive cutting system, dynamic waterjet taper control technology, HyPlex Prime pump pairing option and FlowMaster software - are the same components found on the company's Mach 3 and Mach 4 waterjet series.
Designed using finite element analysis (FEA) and thermally stress-relieved steel, the Mach 2c is suited for high-production applications. Full wrap-around bellows ensure increased component life and accurately cut parts. For more information, contact OptiPro at 585-265-0160 or send emails to sales@optipro.com. |
