OptiPro recently attended the 2011 Precision Machining Technology Show (PMTS) at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. Citizen held machine demonstrations on the A20VII, K16EVII, and L20X, which showed the impressive capabilities of Citizen's Swiss-type lathes. Stainless steel medical part produced completely on the Citizen L20X with new Y-Axis on the subspindle.

Hydraulic spool machined on a Citizen K16E, utilizing the K16E's deep hole drilling capability with high pressure coolant. The cycle time for the part was 3 minutes and 53 seconds complete. Click here to view larger image >>

Stainless steel bone screw produced on a Citizen A20 with high speed milling spindles running at 25,000 rpm. The thread whirling feature on the Citizen A20 produced the thread profile.
