5-Axis Machining at an Unbeatable Price: Spinner Announces Promo on U5-620-AI!

5-Axis Machining

Click image above to watch the U5-620-AI in action...

The new Spinner U5-620-AI is now available at 20% off the list price! The U5-620-AI is full 5-axis simultaneous capable, unlike the DMG DMU-50 eco which only offers 5-axis as an option. This machine allows companies in a wide range of industries to make the move into 5-axis machining at a low cost. Having the capability to machine a wide variety of complex shapes means never having to turn away potential jobs that are too difficult to machine on a standard 3 or 4-axis machine. For a lower investment than other 5-axis machines, you can implement into your operations the 5-axis machining that comes standard with Spinner's U5-620-AI. This machine also includes the following standard options:

  • "5-axis machining package"
  • Sinumerik MDynamics: technology package milling 5 axes
  • Spline-Interpolation (A/B/C-Splines / Kompressor) for 5-Axis machining
  • Signal lamp on top of machine (red, yellow, green)
  • Coolant pistol in working area
  • Special operating voltage, transformer 48,5KVA
  • Sinumerik repair and service contract for 12 months, 1-4 axis and/or spindles

The normal list price of the U5-620-AI is $237,069.08, but for a limited time Spinner is offering this machine with all the options above included for only $189,655.26! Save 20% off the list price, or $47,413.82! There has never been a better time than now to get in the 5-axis machining game, call OptiPro today at 585-265-0160 for more information on this special promotion!

AccuteX EDM AU-300 Featured in Modern Machine Shop Magazine
AccuteX EDM AU-300
AccuteX EDM AU-300

AccuteX EDM's AU-300 wire EDM was highlighted in the February 2011 publication of Modern Machine Shop magazine! The feature article, titled "Wire Rethreader Hits the Mark," discusses how the rethreading system on the AU-300 helps a U.S. manufacturer of firearms finish the opening of a critical pistol component.

The article states that, besides routine maintenance, the wire rethreading system on the AU-300 has not caused downtime or otherwise interfered with production of this critical component.

The flexibility of the AU-300 is just one of the many advantages mentioned in the article. Changing the programmed wire path is often all that is necessary to switch to another job. The AccuteX machine also has additional capacity in reserve. For example, if higher order level require it, the plain brass wire could be replaced with a premium, faster-cutting wire to increase output. A redesigned fixture that enables stacking more parts is also an option, as is adding automation.

CNC Systems Releases New Vision Wide SF Series Double Column VMC

Vision Wide SF Series Double Column VMC

As seen in Manufacturing News, Vision Wide has introduced new SF Series bridge mills featuring three new Y-axis options, 47", 63" and 78", with an X-axis selection from 80" to 162" and 31.5" Z-axis. This new narrower Y-axis machine has roller linear ways on X- and Y-axis for faster feed rates and rapid traverse but still maintains a rigid Z-axis with box way construction. The spindle speeds are offered at 6,000 RPM with 35 HP and a 2 speed headstock, 10,000 RPM with a direct drive spindle that is directly couple to the spindle motor for added rigidity and high acceleration and deceleration rates. There is also a 20,000 RPM direct drive spindle for the mold and die industries.

All SF Series machines come with 40 ATC and a fast cam-type ATC (3 sec tool to tool), full CTS (300 PSI), spindle chiller and ball screw support systems on machines 160" (4 meters).

SF bridge mills also sport heavy duty casting, large sized supporting columns and cross beam, step square beam and saddle. The table is ground for accuracy and longevity. The Z-axis has self-aligning twin hydraulic counter balance system designed to ensure high speed movement without excessive loads on the axis and motor. Standard features include: Fanuc 18i MB, 6,000 RPM 2-step gear spindle, spindle and gear box cooling, 40 tool ATC, independent lube in X/Y/Z, full splash guard, air blast through spindle and flood coolant. Options include: 8K, 10K, 20K spindles, CTS of 300 to 1,000 PSI, 60 tool ATC, linear scales, 200/300/400 mm column extension, full enclosure splash guard with top cover, spindle probes and tool measuring probes.
