Corridor Volunteers
Celebrates 3rd Anniversary Corridor Volunteers, an online matching service for volunteer opportunities, will celebrate its three-year anniversary on November 30. Agencies can register on the site and create a volunteer opportunity listing to recruit volunteers to match their needs. Volunteers can visit the site to find local, regional and statewide links to volunteer opportunities. Visit www.corridorvolunteers.org to learn more.
There are other resources available on Corridor Volunteers as well, such as Board Connections - a great resource to list board and committee positions that need to be filled in your organization, and Product Connections - a place to list the needs of your organization. You can also sign-up to volunteer in case of a disaster.
Corridor Volunteers is managed by United Way of East Central Iowa and sponsored by Rockwell Collins. For questions or more information, please contact Sue Driscoll at (319) 398-5372, ext. 22 or sdriscoll@uweci.org. |

| Climate Engineers Wall Art |

The flood of 2008 brought six feet of water into Climate Engineers' newly remodeled facility destroying everything. After a second remodel, employees wanted to symbolize a fresh start and created a piece of art that is now displayed in the waiting area at Climate Engineers. Made entirely out of steel, this piece represents the employees and things they believe in. A few of the things included on the wall are business affiliations such as the Sheet Metal Workers International Association, organizations they support such as United Way and Junior Achievement, and hobbies they enjoy like golfing and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Thank you to Climate Engineers for including United Way! |
