Popular Teacher Sally Beer Welcomed Back

Watercolor, pen and ink mixed media to encore at the Portland Fine Arts Guild!

Portland Fine Arts Guild (PFAG) will meet for instructional classes and demonstrations at the Russellville Grange, 12100 NE Prescott - Portland 97220 from 10 am to 2 pm.  There will be 5 Monday classes this month  - November 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. Classes are $12 each for nonmembers and $10 for members.  See portlandfineartsguild.org for membership and other PFAG information.

For our 1st project, instructor Sally Beer will teach a technique that includes cotton cheese cloth to enhance the background of a landscape with watercolor.  You will then learn how to apply pen and ink to enhance beautiful detail.  The following projects may include a floral or other "class choices."

Bring your watercolors along with a Crows Quill Pen and waterproof ink - or a Micron # (005) pre-filled pen or a similar type.  Hot press or a light textured watercolor paper works best.  The cotton cheesecloth will be provided. Sally will demonstrate on l0" x 14" paper. This is a doable size, especially for new students.  Parking is free. Bring your lunch or you may plan lunch at one of the fast food restaurants close by.  Sally says "Let's have fun and enjoy each others talent and inspiration while exploring this fun and interesting technique."
