As the fall progresses, land use, transportation and sustainability events are occuring at a rapid pace. Please check in regularly on the SE Uplift website to stay up-to-date on the latest community events. You can also always check in with our facebook page here.

There are lots of events and deadlines happening this month starting today, Tuesday, October 12th, with the kickoff event for  the Central City 2035 plan. This is an open house for the community to learn about update to the 1998 Central City Plan. For more information on this event and on the Central City Plan, here is the link.

SE Uplift is hosting two big events in November that we encourage you will spread the word about:

The SE Uplift Community Resource Fair
One convenient place to gather resources, learn advocacy skills and create important networks with non-profit organizations and other advocacy-minded citizens. This FREE resource fair will provide avenues to learn how to better organize around issues that matter most to you!

SE Uplift Neighborhood Coalition

There are many different organizations participating and there will be several mini-trainings on legislation, asset mapping and creating a neighborhood collective! Open to all!



Cell Towers in Residential Neighborhoods
A Workshop for Portland Residents
Are you concerned about cell towers going up in your neighborhood near homes, schools and parks? Find out what you can do about cell towers in Portland's residential neighborhoods.

  • Learn about Federal, state, and local regulations governing cell towers and what we can do to change them.
  • Network with other Portland neighbors dealing with cell towers in residential areas.
  • Learn what you can do when a cell tower installation is proposed in your neighborhood.
