Greetings!
| As we enter into summer and dry off from an unusually rainy spring,
SE Uplift staff is excited to welcome all of our new neighborhood association
board members. Each year we are encouraged by the energy of
election season and the way that new leaders emerge and begin working
with our long-time neighborhood leaders. Congratulations to everyone and
thanks for your commitment to our coalition!
The staff also eagerly awaits the opportunities to to attend summer events like Sunday Parkways and
the many street fairs, picnics and block parties that will happen within our
coalition area. We would like to take this opportunity to announce our
own upcoming Annual Ice Cream Social on Thursday, July 8, 7:30p.m. in the
parking lot at SE Uplift, 3534 SE Main Street. Each year, following
the SE Uplift Board's officer elections, we invite neighbors from
across the coalition to celebrate SE Portland, get to know one another
and, of course, to enjoy some ice cream! We hope that you will be able to
join us on July 8!

What is the SE Uplift BLT? Well, it is a fantastic excuse for the SE Uplift staff to do two of our favorite things: eat lunch and explore your neighborhood!
We have been alphabetically eating our way through the coalition, one neighborhood at a time. The BLT provides an opportunity for us to become better acquainted with each of our wonderful neighborhoods. Each neighborhood offers a unique history and special charm which reflects the collective character of it's residents. We hope you can join us when we are in your neighborhood!
The 2010 BLT is coming to an end...
