Happy New Year from ARB,

Thanks to everyone who came to our Nutcracker performances this season.  With your help, we had record attendance at some of our regular venues across the State, and a successful debut in South Jersey at the TD Bank Arts Centre in Sewell.

Now, we're forging ahead with our Spring Season.  The entire organization is getting energized for the Gala, while the Company, the School and our Access & Enrichment programs are all busy preparing for events of their own.

Please read on for more information, updates, and pictures, and mark your calendars for the many exciting upcoming events this Spring.

The Company is in full gear this January: The ARB women
are rehearsing in Princeton, where they are working on Twyla Tharp's Eight Jelly Rolls with former Twyla Tharp company dancer
and Princeton Ballet School faculty member, Katie Glasner.  ARB has been recognized by the NEA's "American Masterpieces" program for their previous revivals of Tharp's work, and we are happy to be adding another Tharp powerhouse to the repertory. The debut of Eight Jelly Rolls will feature the music of Jelly Roll Morton performed live.

Meanwhile, the ARB men are in New Brunswick rehearsing with Patrick Corbin on his new piece, which will be added to the Company's repertory this spring. Corbin, who was a longtime member of the Paul Taylor Dance Company and a faculty member at Princeton Ballet School is now Artistic Director for CorbinDances.

The Company comes together to rehearse Douglas Martin's new piece to Barber's Adagio for Strings, Philip Jerry's Our Town, and Kirk Peterson's Glazunov Variations.  In addition to its public performances, ARB will again be performing at Rutgers University for their popular "Dance Appreciation" course.

The Company will be holding auditions for the 2011-2012 Season on April 9, 2011 at City Center in New York.  CLICK HERE for more information.
