ISAIAH 61:1-2
"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD'S favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn."

I am excited to report that for the past two months the LAVA Fellowship group has been back up and running! LAVA stands for: Loving, Available, Vulnerable, Artists. We have had a handful of faithful students that come each saturday night for fun, fellowship and worship with a guitar or two.

Curriculum:
We have talked about and studied the definitions of: Repent, Christian, Saved and Rapture. We've also talked heavily about service and "giving yourself" away. We have our stage back so we work on some drama scenes and do Improv. We hope to start up our shows again soon since we had seniors move on to college last year.

Rieth Family News!

cribbage

Yes, that is Paul playing cribbage with us - and he even won!  He is so much happier at home with family and friends and familiar surroundings.  And we are so happy to have him here.  We couldn't do it without Jimmy, his caregiver.  Jimmy is a godsend and he and Paul get along very well.

The next step is to get a computer set up for him to use so he can read your messages on line.  For now we print them and he reads all the messages which never cease to amaze him.  "I am so blessed that they would think of me," he says. Thank you for your prayers and your love.

We are pleased to introduce you to some hard-working leaders in this issue.  I am so thankful for these co-workers who are essential to making the mission of Media Fellowship a reality.
Reaching media and entertainment professionals worldwide for Christ.

"For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building."  1 Corinthians 3:9 NIV
If something exciting is happening in your area, you can be sure that it is because someone has taken the leadership to make that happen.  We recognize and applaud people who give of themselves to make a difference in their circle of influence.  The lesson here is that to have an active organization it takes YOU.  Action creates action.

I'll share an example.  This past weekend, MFI member Doug Jones, was in the Seattle area for a convention and a small group of family and friends from the past were able to get together for fellowship and memory-sharing.  Many of you work in other locations, so when we can assemble together as an MFI family we can receive a special blessing.  paul and mayah(Let the office know if you are in another location and may have time to meet with other MFI members.  It won't always work, but we are blessed when it does.)

PASTOR BOB and DOUG JONES speak at the Inaugural THE MASTER CLASS
Guest Article by John Freeman
I was introduced to MFI a little over 2 years ago which has led me to the recent personal support of Pastor Bob and Doug Jones at The MasterClass, June 1-5 in Branson, Missouri. It was great to have paul and mayahPastor Bob come to lead us each night and throughout the day on panels about the arts, entertainment and the media. His sharing Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights and the special challenge Friday night were exactly what we needed to hear and to act upon.
Doug Jones cleared his calendar to join us also. Doug led workshops in: mime, and character development and it's physical side. Both were highly appreciated and challenging. He also joined Pastor Bob on two panels and each evening that he was with us. Sharing his testimony to "does Hollywood change you?" led to very interesting Main Stage sessions.
Both men were available to all participants, faculty and staff (and staff of the resort). Each man made it a point to spend time withdoug and kids everyone, especially for those special requests for the ear and heart. Having the support of Pastor Bob and the staff of Media Fellowship International throughout the planning process and conference was very meaningful and appreciated. Thank you.
In His shared love,
John S. Freeman, Exective Director

1.  IF we were able to begin a support group for mothers or dads of young actors or performers - - - would you be interested in being a part of that group?  (This would primarily be via email or phone.)

2.  Now that we have Chaplains available to help, would you be willing to refer people who could use a prayer partner or helping hand?
