You may have heard that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) have begun a revalidation protocol wherein a one-time "revalidation application" will be mailed to a select number of ambulance providers at their practice locations. While you may not be one of the selected providers receiving a validation letter, you will have no way of knowing that. Therefore, it is critical that you monitor all mail received and take immediate action if a letter is received.  If you receive a letter, CMS requires that you return it with the completed information within 60 calendar days. If this revalidation letter is not received by 60 days, your billing privileges will be revoked and you will be barred from the Medicare program for 1 year. Again, you may not receive anything, and that is fine. No action is required if you do not receive a revalidation application. |
