"Always bet on yourself!"
-The Voice

Originally a NY native, I relocated to Los Angeles, CA in 2008 after being signed with BLOC talent agency. I strive to take risks and be more then just another choreographer, actor or dancer. I want to be different. I want to be ME! All you have in life is this moment. This second. This NOW. So why waste it playing it safe.

I encourage every dancer, actor or choreographer to embrace their inner artist and JUST LIVE. When you LIVE completely in the NOW it is an amazing experience.

My resume includes
Choreographing/dancing for international pop star Armenchik @ the Nokia Theater Oct 2009, NYC Fashion Week, performing off Broadway, actor for THE LITTLE THEATER , Freestyle for The Frontline Fashion Show in NYC (Brian Friedman Line), Competition and Award Winning Choreography for numerous groups and studios. I have also received many awards & honors from several conventions and competitions.

Opened a Twitter Account
I have always been against Twitter, because I thought it was pointless. Then I caved and opened an account. I realized there is a much deeper purpose to this site then simply telling people when you're going to the supermarket for example. It is a GREAT marketing tool. You are able to keep everyone up to date with your career, accomplishments and goals through one simple sentence. You can't beat that!

NEW YORK
I was asked to return to New York to choreograph two competition pieces at a local dance studio in Pelham, NY, named Jump Dance Center. When Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz said: "there is no place like home" she was right. It was great to see all my friends and family. I plan to teach several workshops in New York in 2010!

Michael Jackson
Honor The Artist
anthony thomas
To my surprise, many people have not seen this movie. Perhaps if this movie was released on Thanksgiving weekend or Christmas day, it would have had a different outcome. As an artist, I feel we each should pay tribute to this icon. Michael Jackson has paved the way for all dancers and entertainers. He repeatedly took risk and left this world as an artistic genius. Hot choreographer, Tony Testa and 90210 actress, Mekia Cox, are one of the many dancers who were blessed with the dream to dance with The King of Pop before he died. The first few minutes of the film were testimonials from the dancers themselves. It is truly inspirational! Watch the movie. Pay tribute to the King. It is an amazing film that grants you a backstage pass to the life as a dancer on tour and the creative vision of Michael Jackson.

Tenile Pritchard

Determined. Strong. Willed. Technical. These are only a few words to describe this rising artist. Tenile is trained in all forms including Horton technique and popping & locking. Now she can add The King of Pop to her list of achievements.

Principle Dancer
Thriller @ The Palms
Las Vegas, NV
"This Is It" Premiere

Back in October 2009, Tenile was one of the eight dancers who were chosen to perform Michael Jackson's Thriller at the Las Vegas premiere of This Is It. The event took place at The Moon Nightclub where honored guests, including Joe Jackson, were escorted after the screening. Tenile performed several roles that night, including the principle role of Michael's girlfriend. Choreographer, Jay Boogie, from Freestyle Expressions, played opposite Tenile as the role of Michael. He combined his trade mark popping and locking with classic choreography from the Thriller music video. Tenile
knows what she wants as an artist and her drive alone will make her succeed.
Shane Sparks Making a Pop Group
"Forever Heartbreak"

ny
Shane Sparks is the Diddy of the dance industry. By combining street smarts with a creative mindset, Shane has become unstoppable. Similar to Diddy, Shane granted viewers access to the making of a pop group through a small web reality series. Keep in mind, it's not MTV! The episodes are raw, real and not full of drama. It's just the girls videotaping their journey as a pop group. At first sight, you will hate them, because they will come across as Danity Kane wannabes, but once you take a second glance, you will realize these girls are talented. Their biggest obstacle will be to force you, the fans, to give them a fair chance.

The Key Club
THE END OF AN ERA!
West Hollywood, CA
anthony thomas
Over ten years ago, Carey Ysais, a dancer and choreographer, decided to create a choreographers' ball, where he showcased the hottest industry talents at a local nightclub in LA named The Key Club. "My whole idea was to give choreographers a place to express themselves freely and without restraint," said Ysais.

On November 25th, 2009 Carnival bared farewell to the legendary Key Club and is relocating to a new location in January 2010. Carey's vision has been fulfilled and continues to flourish throughout the country; conquering Los Angeles, New York, London and now Japan.

Carnival will be holding an Anniversary Ball in January 2010 at the Vanguard Nightclub in Hollywood, CA!

Reyna, what did you think about the last Carnival of 2009?
This Carnival closed the year out in the most unique & dynamic way! Lots of new faces on the stage from the Choreographers to the Dancers! The energy coming from each piece was out of this world. The dancer's brought all they had and more to that stage that night!

Reyna how would you rate your TOP 5?
My top five were the pieces that stood out the most & left the crowd wanting more & feeling so full of excitement & so captivated from beginning till the end.
(In Order from Good to Great)

#4. Tessandra Chavez, who was a part of the 1st Carnival ever in Los Angeles. 2nd time back!
#3. Hollywood Hot Shots- Angel Jenkins
#2. Lando Wilkins feat. Boxcuttuhz

#1. Dejan Tubic from MSA
 Dejan Tubic Carnival

Dejan Tubic choreographed a routine to Lady Gaga's new single Bad Romance and BLEW THE CROWD AWAY! He took Lady Gaga's song and made a story out of it-mixed the music in perfection and executed each movement to each beat from beginning to the end! The opening was so well set by Dejan Tubic and Tarin Pratt who portrayed a cute couple in love. They were then interrupted by America's Best Dance Crew (ABDC) veteran, Glenda Morales! The Costumes helped the audience 2 see the story at hand! Blonde ladies wore all white & reds as the brunette's & brown toned dancer's male & female wore purple & black! The elements done throughout this dance went from staccato, to fluid, to jagged, to throbbing, to intricate, to partnering from formation to formation to formation with clean transitions done to the "T"! Unbelievable and so original! The crowd screamed showing their appreciation for such a profound danced & choreographed piece! When I say they Lived they Lived! ABDC'S, Glenda Morales, danced her principal character in a way that no one else could & she showed strength, execution, power, joy, & demanded the audience's attention as Dejan definitely needed her too! BOMB & I can't wait to see more of Dejan's work, just as many others have stated!

Fearless. Daring. Funky. Unique. These are just a few words to express the contemporary force of Sonya Tayeh.  She has become television's hottest choreographer, on the  hit FOX 5 show; So You Think You Can Dance. (SYTYCD).

Sonya, who is best known for her fierce Mohawk, continues to reach new heights with every creation.

"I want for people to know how big of a drive I have for dance. It comes first in my life. No matter what!"
- Dejan  Tubic

Dictionary.com defines a prodigy as: A child or young person, having extraordinary talent or ability.  Dejan Tubic, only 19 years old, is what I definitely would call an artistic prodigy. His talent as a choreographer supersedes his gift as a dancer. Dejan has a creative vision and expresses his imagination through his choreography. Since his arrival to the LA scene in June 2008, Dejan has been blessed as a key choreographer for the big industry nightclub Boulevard 3, granted his very own class at IDA (International Dance Academy) in Hollywood, CA, is being sponsored by a savvy new hip hop clothing line named Pointblank LA (Check them out! Their stuff is HOT!) http://www.samsamdesigns.com/pointblankla/main.html
and won over the crowd with his first showcase at Carnival this month. Dejan is loved by many inside and out. His fan club consists of at least 1,900 people on YouTube and the numbers keeps growing. He is a mentor for those who are afraid to trust in their own talents. Dejan gambles on his creativity, his skills and his vision before anything else and that is what makes him a force to be reckoned with.

November 22nd, 2009
Nokia Theater - Downtown LA

The AMA's were nothing if not entertaining. From JLO's fall, to Lady Gaga smashing bottles on the inflamed piano, to Whitney Houston's voice coming back, to Rihanna's shoulder pad "lights"; the night was full of unexpected surprises. One thing almost every artist had in common was the desire to magnify their performances with numerous dancers. Latin pop sensation, Shakira, used at least 40 black female dancers during her performance to brand new single "Give Up To Me".
I wouldn't give the show an A+, but it was fun to watch and support my peers.

November 18th, 2009
Gallery 1018 - Downtown LA
Dancers/Choreographers Maygen Nicholson and Jillian Laub collaborated with Azure Antoinette to create an incredible, artistic, mind boggling night in downtown LA. Through the fusion of art, dance, spoken word, graffiti, photography and video; every artist was issued a platform to express their voice. It was truly magical to be in that room as an artist. Walking in your were surrounded by paintings on the wall, fumes from graffiti cans outside, hot beats from the DJ, live dancers and more. Medium really was art the way it should be. Guests included: Jamie Goodwin (SYTYCD), Fanny Pack (ABDC), and contemporary choreographer Jillian Meyers.

Rhythm Nation Master Class @ Millennium

In 2008, Anthony created a Rhythm Nation master class & workshop tour, where driven dancers learn the music video steps straight from the man himself. It has been 10 years since pop icon, Janet Jackson, released her most daring album: Rhythm Nation 1816! It was her mission to target social injustice and make everyone listen. Through the choreography of Anthony Thomas everyone did and 10 years later the powerful socially conscious lyrics are still being heard today.  Remind yourself of the message by watching the music video through the following link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lk7i_EPxTlY
