UUs FOR MARRIAGE EQUALITY
Faith-Based Strategic Storytelling for the Minnesota Marriage Moment
Monday, November 7th, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Gloria Dei Lutheran Church
700 Snelling Ave. S., St. Paul, MN
Strategic storytelling is one of the most powerful methods of faith-based community organizing. It is the lynchpin of efforts to help the "movable middle" to understand how marriage matters to same-sex couples and to all of us as families and as faith communities. Participants will learn to
* put faces on abstract concepts, making them personal* begin new relationships* communicate values through emotions
* teach, inspire, and motivate others to action
This event is designed for members of ALL faith communities. Free event, but please RSVP to Lissa Messner: lissam@lcna.org / 651-665-0861
Even if you've already been trained in storytelling, please consider participating. You'll have further opportunity to practice, and will be focused specifically toward defeating the anti-LGBT marriage amendment. BUILDING THE UU MOVEMENT
