Take a look at Susan's blog entry for complete instructions.

Two New Zentangle Gift Ideas

We had been waiting until our new website was up and running* to share some of our new products and gift ideas with you.

Coaster Puzzle
These nine coasters covered with original Zentangle art (by us, Rick and Maria) combine beauty and challenge in a fun and functional work of art.

They can only be assembled in one way. It's not as easy as you might think! Keep your table clean and your guests entertained . . . and your kids engaged . . . they love this!

Zentangle Tile Leather Wallets

Carry your Zentangle tiles in style! These beautifully handcrafted  leather wallets are designed specifically to carry your Zentangle Tiles. Wherever you go, carry your passion in style! Felt lined and embossed with Zentangle's red logo outsite and name inside. Secure stud closure.

Photo shows outside of closed Buckskin Leather choice on top and open Dark Leather below. Both are available. (I keep about 16 tiles in mine.)

Very Special Feedback

When you're interested in exploring something, it's helpful to read what others have to say about their experience. Here are a few comments and excerpts that were taken from Laura Harms' contest (just now closed) titled, "How has Zentangle enhanced your life?

In 1970 (7th grade) I received a "C" in the one and only art class I ever took. I didn't pick up a pencil or pen to draw again for nearly 40 years...until Zentangle. Now I follow several Zentangle Blogs and think of myself as an artist. Zentangle changed my entire perspective of myself in relation to art. How cool is that?

It is hard to imagine a day without a moment or more dedicated to tangling. It helps me celebrate, it helps me calm down when I am agitated, and it keeps me awake in church and through conferences.

I love tangling!!! It gives me an opportunity to safely be creative..no pressure!

Zentangle has helped me begin to conquer my fear of "drawing". I had no encouragement in school and took some drawing classes later in life, but was so frustrated; I even quit in the middle of one course in tears! Finding Zentangle gives me something to feel successful about and, in addition, I can FINISH something quickly which is huge for me.

I love that Zentangle is so easy but looks so hard. I can impress my friends, and yes, sometimes even impress myself! I love that it's something my daughters and I can do together. Tangling has enhanced my life in many ways, and I'm so happy to be a part of this wonderful Zentangle community!

Zentangle has greatly improved my Machine Quilting. It has also reminded me that I have a creative person within.

The Zentangle method creates a sacred space in my day. It is a ritual that brings me back into harmony and a ceremony that I can share.

Last Feb I became a CZT and I have gotten so much out of teaching Zentangle. It is so wonderful to see the excitement students have when they create tiles that they are so proud of.

These are just a few of hundreds of comments! For us, it is so thrilling and humbling to read through them.

And here's another email that arrived this morning. Just had to share it!

Dear Rick and Maria,

Thank you for the prompt (almost instant) delivery of my Zentangle Kit.

It is as beautiful as I had thought it would be. The DVD was 28 minutes of meditation just watching the patterns unfold.

I do a Zentangle a day. Each one is right, complete and soothing. I do not second guess myself and truly appreciate each unique piece.

Thank you again for your powerful creative discovery and the way you share it so freely and lovingly. CZT training is next!

Love, Light, Peace

CZT Seminar Update

We have enjoyed an enthusiastic response to our February Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) seminar registration. We are almost 1/2 full within less than one week.

If you are considering becoming a CZT, please register soon.

For more information on our CZT program and seminar, please see this page on our website and our previous newsletter.

Our Holiday Tradition

It's been our holiday tradition for several years now to tie a bow and add a card to your Zentangle Kit during this end of year gift giving season. All you have to do is ask for it.

Kit with bow
We'll do this for orders over $30. You'll get a nice bow and Maria will hand letter a beautiful card. Just tell us the names you want for the "to" and the "from", but please, no notes, just names.

You can type the info in the "Comments" section as you check out online, or tell us when you call in your order.

We are so grateful to be able to share this wonderful adventure with you!

However you and your family celebrate, we wish you all the joy of this season and the coming New Year.

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas!
