Great Feedback

We receive such wonderful emails of feedback and Zentangle inspired creations. We feel like the luckiest people in the world. We get so many that we often get behind in our responses. We ask for your understanding in this.

Here are some samples:

Rick and Maria,

Recently, a friend steered me towards Zentangle. I was fascinated by what she was accomplishing, but thought I could never make such beautiful pictures.

One day, while feeling very low, I decided to try it. I was only using cardstock and a gel pen, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. My mind was at peace and I was no longer feeling down. I felt great about my art even though it may not be as good as others. So, I bought a bunch of cardstock and gel pens and spend time in the evening destressing with my Zentangle.

I became so enthused that I ordered your kit. WOW, I am impressed and just love it.

I have shown it to my nephew that has autism and it is amazing what he can do with it.

Thank you again for sharing this wonderful form of meditation and art.  - C

Thanks for this absolutely delightful Zen-untangle. The commentary on the creative process was so perfect, akin to the daily morphing we all go through when approaching any valuable task.  -AL

Hi! I wanted to share with you what [a friend] told me. She suffers from fibro-myalgia and runs a support group online for pain sufferers. She told me that doing zentangles takes her mind off of her pain and wanted to share the prompts with her pain group to help them with their pain as they lose themselves in creating zentangles. I thought this would be a great encouragement and blessing to you to hear this. Have a great day and thanks for coming up with zentangles!

Hello Rick and Maria,

am looking forward to meeting you both in October and, learning, learning............

I just had to share something with you that just happened to me and "zentangle"

This past monday I was waiting with my son in the "admitting room" of the hospital where I was about to have knee surgery. I took my customary book to read...but could not focus on the words. I was then admitted to my "waiting room" where I had to sit on this gurney looking at nurses going back and forth....but nobody coming to get me. I asked my son if he had any paper and a pen for me. Luckily he did.......I started to "tangle"......and just can't believe how all my anxiety about the surgery got left behind as I just focused on creating my zentangle. What a wonderful tool to be able to use to get ones mind off......of maybe anything and everything......especially waiting for surgery.

My son has kept it as it it part of his workbook....and he does not want to tear it out........

so.......here's to zentangle.........and meeting the both of you soon.

I just received your kit Tuesday and I love it! I've been following your methods for a while on my own, and finally decided to spring for the kit, and I'm so glad I did. I'm an engineer by trade and a metalsmith by avocation, and I'm trying to inject more creativity to my life. I'd like to cultivate a habit of creativity, and Zentangle is such a simple and elegant way for me to practice. My engineering brain really likes the structure of strings, tiles, and set patterns, and my artist brain likes taking an official pattern and riffing on it to create something new.

Again, I'm so delighted that I found your site and process!

I am not an artist. My passion is my 4 dogs and my 2 daughters. But, I do love art, and Zentangle has added something beautiful to my life! I am ready to order the kit, and become fully immersed in this peaceful, wonderful art form.

[ . . . ] , in my spare time, I work on my Zentangles. It does help take to relieve some of the stress and frustration that I feel.

Thank you for making this possible!
